Only premium vinifera grapevines are planted, consisting of Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The traditional dense planting of the vineyards at 1100 to 1400 vines per acre produces more concentrated fruit and therefore higher quality wines.The winery is a renovated turn-of-the-century barn that houses a fermentation tank room and lab. The spacious tasting room was built on top of the barrel cellar. It is surrounded by an inviting deck overlooking the vineyards
The wine delicious, the staff really welcoming, and the setting of the outdoor patio is stunning. It's family owned, medium size place - good for coupled group of friends and small groups. They allow bus and limos, but not too crazy like bigger wineries. The food menu was limited to four option of cheese platters that came with crackers.
In the tasting room you may choose from six flights of wine consisting of 2 to 4 wines per flight. A tasting is a small serving, about half an ounce. The flights range from $6 per person to $12 per person. With the purchase of four bottles or more, your tasting fee will be credited toward your purchase

PAUMANOK is available for rent for wedding ceremonies and receptions all year round. In the cold months our interior heated space can accommodate about 50 people seated. In the warmer months parties as large as 150 people are able to take advantage of our spacious deck overlooking the vineyard.
Paumanok's Tasting Room is open for tastings and sales 7 days a week from 11 AM - 6 PM, April through October and 11 AM - 5 PM November through March. Paumanok is closed four days a year: New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
