Avant Vineyards

At AVANT Vineyards, the principal winemaking philosophy is to keep the process as basic and natural as possible, letting the character of the fruit come through. They make their wine in hand crafted small batches from their own grapes. They are grown along the mighty Colorado River at the base of the Grand Mesa on Colorado’s western slope, where the cool night-breezes coming off the mountains meets the hot sunny days of this high mountain environment. All this makes their select fine wines ridiculously delicious.

Charming, beautiful, serene, and good wine. The owners are delightful and Olga is a wonderful hostess.They also sell a small variety of local products (Toucan coffees, Anita's jams, Enstrom toffee) - but the reason you come here is to enjoy lovely wines and pleasant company. The views of the river and mountains from the patio are almost impossible to beat.

Tasting room is not open daily, they gladly do tastings by appointment.
