The philosophy behind the Yaldara Wine Collection stems from its founder Hermann Thumm who first started crafting Barossa Wines in 1947 and was one of the regions first boutique winemakers. Thumm pushed the boundaries of Australian winemaking through his appetite for experimentation with wine techniques, styles and blends. Today, they embrace this approach through the crafting of balanced, structural wines that showcase the harmony of varietal integrity from the select premium South Australian wine regions of the Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale. A 1000-tonne winery was built for the 14 vintage, handling the core production destined to sell at $35 a bottle or more, together with new varieties and blends.
Take a walk through our historic cellars and maturation areas where you will hear about our rich history and winemaking techniques. Upon your return, our team will take you on a leisurely tasting of our premium wines, whilst you enjoy a local cheese platter. By appointment only (Minimum 4 people). The vineyard is proud of Hermann’s which offers a rustic dining experience, where texture, balance and purity of flavour are showcased through some of the Barossa’s finest natural produce.
