Opus is one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. Where Opus stands out is that they use fresh seasonal ingredients so if they happen to have an opportunity to buy something that morning, it will land on the menu by lunch time. This is a large spacious, light and airy restaurant that's been in Birmingham for 6 years now.
They have a good selection of dishes on their a la carte menu, all expertly cooked. The staff are really attentive, and the speed of service is excellent. The food isn't the cheapest curry you'll ever have, but it's certainly worth it, both in terms of portion size and quality. Everything is a little on the expensive side, though the atmosphere is top class and goes a long way to justify the cost. The cocktails are superb. If you like a pub with a mellow atmosphere, 70s funk and soul as your night's soundtrack and a dash of authenticity in the form of a Victorian inspired gin parlour then this is the place for you. Very nice interior, menu and selection of cocktails. The food is also worth mentioning. There are often deals on the lunches and in the evenings there are such deals as '2-4-1 fish and chips Christmas Menu Regular Menu
The seasonal menu changes regularly and on a Sunday you can pick up a three course Sunday roast (boldly claiming to have the best roast spuds in Birmingham. The service is top notch, as was the presentation of the food. This place is the definition of the word "smooth". It is easy to miss the unassuming entrance on Newhall Street, but once inside you will be transported to a sleek and chic world of mixology magic. This is a wonderful little Vegetarian and Vegan restaurant nestled away just round the back of Moor Street Station. It's BYOB. They serve a variety of homemade smoothies and juices, as well as tea's, coffee and soft drinks. Great service, and a well thought out food menu that also reaches out to vegans and those of you that are gluten intolerant. MENU

A modern Vegetarian bistro. The menu is tempting. From the starter to the dessert. And for a quick bite looking by the window people coming and going in the arcade, it`s a very cool way of spending a nice afternoon. The whole menu is Vegetarian, with dishes that can be adjusted to vegan or gluten free or both. The decor and feel for this place is really nice and the staff go out of their way to be pleasant which is positive. MENU Christmas Menu
This is the only gluten free specific cafe in the Jewellery Quarter. Its a perfectly nice place to sit and grab a drink and food, maybe a little odd, but the giftware gives you something to look at whilst you wait for your food to be freshly made. As well as offering the usual range of wraps, sandwiches, coffees, smoothies etc sell gluten free cakes.
The food is scrummy! Delicious cooked breakfasts, freshly made sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads and much more. All the ingredients are high quality and wherever possible local produce is used. There are vegetarian and vegan options, and even dairy & gluten free cakes available. The menu is small and perfectly formed. There are maverick touches to modern, homely food that caters to the tastes of flesh-eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike.
Not many big chains that specialise in one cuisine remember that some basic ingredients have a readily available Gluten Free option, Carluccio's does. What's even better is that the Gluten Free pasta they use you can buy in their little deli shop, It is always a busy place, with a happy mix of party groups, first dates and after-work diners. Anything which is situated within the arches near Snow Hill is going to be quirky and interesting. This coffee shop certainly doesn't disappoint! From the 70's style crockery to the mixed seating and cushions, it has a "cool vibe. The kitsch décor is really nice, and the selection of coffees and teas would suit even the fussiest of people. The food there is lovely & reasonably priced.
They have sourced the best quality tea and offer a range of teas to suit everyone's palate, from strong black teas through to the herbal infusions, so customers can enjoy the diverse tastes of tea. With a choice of over 70 of the best loose leaf tea. The shop is wonderfully decorated with different kinds of tea adoring the walls, all sorts of tea making paraphernalia to purchase and a small selection of tables and chairs to sit and while away some time in this relaxing environment. They also let you take your own snacks in to nibble on which is a really refreshing thing to hear; almost as refreshing as the tea itself! I would recommend for all tea fanatics.
