This is a quintessential Taiwanese comfort food joint. Cheap prices, large portions, and good taste. It's not Michelin-quality but it's simple and delicious -- great for either an introduction to Taiwanese food or if you're just missing the motherland. The workers are super fast and efficient.
Lankan food you can find in the area. Love their hospitality and personable service. The place is small, but everything is brand new, shiny and clean. This place is small, quaint, clean, and run by a welcoming couple!. The service is excellent and the owners couldn't be friendlier. The food is tasty and reasonably priced.
MJ Cafe (whether an Express or not) is a great place for boba and Taiwanese snacks. Considering how busy this location gets, the service is super fast. The staff are usually really nice and helpful if you need help with the huge menu. Also, If you check in with Yelp before you order, you get a 10% discount. MENU
This is a small store but it is highly specialized with Russian and Uzbekistan foods. There is a small smoked fish counter, a much larger cheese and smoked meats area... lots of frozen dumplings. .. and the rest of the store is filled with produce and imported canned goods. In the back is a small room with a kitchen... serving up fresh baked breads, Russian salad bar... and a hot food steam table.
This is one of the many Bangladeshi-owned grocery stores/ steam table eateries along 3rd street.
The groceries all the usual Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi and even some Sri Lankan spices and condiments. Also a selection of snacks, desserts, teas. The food served here is inexpensive but very good. Bangladeshi cuisine is known for its emphasis on fish and I would highly recommend those dishes here but the traditional indian cuisine here isn't bad either.
This restaurant is a little spot hidden in a marketplace. The food is excellent and served quickly. You would never think a small place like this inside the farmer's market would be packed with so much exotic flavors . CASH only! although there is a long line, the food does come out quickly as soon as you order.
Tibet Nepal House is a great place if you want to try authentic nepali food or asian fusion. The servers really make an effort to understand the customers taste before making any recommendations. Their momo is really tasty and their chicken dishes are usually nice too.
Laksa is just like Singaporean Laksa, char Hor Fun is very good, the hor fun has a burn flavor that makes it tastes so much like the best hor fun in Singapore. Worth the trip! Hours are only Mon-Fri, 11am-7pm
This place has a very nice interior reminiscent of many other Russian restaurants. The food is excellent, all the food is made the same exact day it was served. All the food is fresh and delicious. This place is a treasure. It is Russian (or more specifically Uzbeki) home cooking at it's finest.. MENU
Aladin is famous as a Halal Restaurant and as a result vegetarians have very limited option here. This is a Bengali style kitchen that is different from north/south Indian flavors. The spices are toned down and there is distinct sweetness in most items. The place also sells groceries and you can catch yourself a good exotic fish. The prices are on the super cheap side. If not for the restaurant, and if you live nearby, its a good place for ethnic grocery.
Authentic and tasty indonesian. The place is awesome and the food really good. Recommend the fried rice and rendang. They taste authentic. Food is flavorful and the servings generous. A wonderful spot run by a family who knows their food and culture. MENU
Great food these guys know what they are doing trust me. Great prices and won't leave hungry! The food here is excellent! Many vegetarian options with traditional flavorful spices. Absolutely delicious tasting vegetable momos! MENU
The food is great, the service is wonderful and it's great for big groups. Make reservations. Great ambiance, great quality of meat, a nice variety of banchan and good service. In addition to the side dishes, they also have other extras that come with the meal too. Great experience and staff is amazing. MENU
Pine & Crane has taken on the adventurous task of making authentic Taiwanese cuisine both approachable and accessible to the general public with great success. .Seriously delicious food at a very affordable price! The restaurant is a self-seating arrangement where you order first, get a number, and then find a table. There's several smaller tables and one big communal tables in the middle.
The decor is cool and it's a neat little restaurant in the middle of the theater district. The recipes here are more Americanized so you will not find the super authentic ingredients like tripe in the pho but it is still amazing. The Banh Xeo is delicious and customizable if you ask for extra options such as mushrooms, etc. The spring rolls are great too!
