The teas and the service here are amazing. This is serious tea here. We're talking estate teas from China, Japan, India and Korea(!) where harvest year and tea-making process significantly matters. We're talking ceremonial bowls, handmade tea filters, charcoal logs for boiling water and a rare matcha-grinding machine made by Japanese craftsmen. Website
The variety alone is impressive. The fragant aroma is something to be savored. Sit for as long as your like, for it's a huge pot of tea you're drinking. The tea is so good, you don't need sugar. All the foods are said to be "tea-infused" (so steamed in tea), even the "earl grey" cheesecake we had. Website
La Petite Cuillère is an absolutely lovely place. This tea house has a very tranquil atmosphere that allows you to have a great time with whoever you're taking there. It is impossible not to be pleased here. Their teas are delicious, and the High and Afternoon tea were great, with very tasty servings. The service is as sweet as this whole place. Website.
This place is absolutely great. The tea, the lattes are all amazing. This wonderful, tiny, little place serves a great selection of teas, pastries, sandwiches, etc., but the main reason for frequenting this shop is the coldblaster tea - One sip gives you a kick of ginger with the sweetness of orange and honey.
Finch's is outstanding. They have a nicely curated menu of sandwiches and an even more concise selection for breakfast. This is complemented by the normal selection of espresso drinks.

The buzz cafe is a super friendly and cozy coffee shop just on the border of yaletown and downtown. All of their drinks are priced very well (americano $2.50).
Portuguese egg tarts and chestnut sponge cake are great.This place is always packed, and with good reason. The cakes are beautiful and intricate, but the specialties are all the buns. The coconut cocktail buns and the barbeque pork buns in particular are tops!
One of the better cafes in the city. Really good food, especially the desserts and baked goods. The desserts and coffees are great, as are the breakfasts.
Mink is one of the best places in town to get quality handmade chocolate with high cocoa content. Mink covers all the bases with its beverage list...espresso drinks, hot chocolates, teas, cold blended drinks, etc. Hand crafted chocolates, a great urban patio setting, quality coffee, amazing hot chocolate and a little chocolate square complimentary with your drink.
The best Chinese bakery in Vancouver. The bbq'd pork and pineapple bun are very good. Soft, flavourful, with a lovely, flaky sweet crust. Friendly people at the counter too.

It's the sweetest little place in Vancouver for a great selection of both macarons and tea. The immense tea selection they have is any tea lovers dream.
A beautiful little spot tucked away at the edges of "respectable" Gastown, Cadeaux is mostly a working kitchen and a counter featuring the daily spread, but there are a few places to sit down, and if you can manage to snag one it's a great place to sit and have a leisurely coffee or tea and chat with a friend.
