This is the place in Astoria. Best falafel, creamy hummus. Authentic Lebanese food. Great hookah. The food is delicious. The schwarma is the star, but their merguez and kebabs are also good. MENU
The food is delicious and the price is right! The curries are all good, and so are the samosas, especially with chickpeas, sweet sauce and yogurt. More than a Deli. Great lunch place if you like Indian cuisine, feels like home food if your from India. Small, only cash but great!!
Delicious halal indian cuisine in Brooklyn! A must stop for the lovers of south Asian flavors and spices. Everything is delicious and service is fast and courteous. For the price, the food is phenomenal. The dine for two option is fantastic and gives way more food than the average person can eat.
Wonderfully authentic North Indian food. Everything from the appetizer to main corurses are outstanding . Also many of the dishes offered are unique, and have just the right amount of heat. Great food & good service. MENU
If you want greasy & authentic Pakistani food without the passport, this is the place to go. The food is set up in a little buffet line where you look at the person and point to what you want. Prices and quality--and quantity-were excellent.
The food is awesome and the service s excellent. Occasionally can be slow. The menu is ridiculously large and you can find any food that you want. This place is awesome! Doesn't look like much from the outside or inside. But they make authentic Sri Lankan and Indian food, which is hard to find now and days.
Best Roti in Brooklyn...all varieties. Beef, goat, chicken, shrimp-even liver. The Roti's here are short but fat with flavor and fillings. The cooks here are Muslim so all offerings are halal. Besides Roti, soups and complete meals, Trinidad Ali also sells Caribbean beverages like Sorrel and Mauby and snacks imported directly from T&T. The doubles are delciious. Food sells out fast here and always a fast moving line. Really tasty West Indian food
Everyone here is friendly, there's a nice selection of Indonesian food, and there's a lovely ambience, with lots of beautiful artwork. Java is a neighborhood treasure. Absolutely fantastic. Get the 15 course tasting menu (Rijsttafel, about $38 ). Each course is so different and so yummy.
All the standards (falafel, humus, baba ganoush, shawarma) are great, but dig a little deeper and you'll be rewarded. Amazing place. Really good food, generous portions and no frills. It's no wonder that this place, being first and foremost a halal Lebanese butcher, serves up the best cuts of meat this side of 30th Avenue. Spiced chunks of beef or chicken made to order and cooked over an open pit flame.
