It's a small place but it has a lot to offer. The service is good, and the food is what you expect from a Cuban restaurant.

The ambience is just right. The interior is intimate, cozy, casual, and friendly. There's not a lot of food options on the menu, relative to the drink menu, but it's pretty darn good. They offer up generous portions of their rice, beans and plantains -- all incredibly flavorful and they have an option of chicken, fish, beef and peppers. Excellent draught beer selection, bottled beer selection and the food looks like it is prepared well. Wherever possible they serve the beer in the glasses made for that particular beer. Great service. Surprisingly delicious bar food. Reasonable prices. People watching here is always interesting. Good music.
Tina's is a popular spot in this part of town which can make for long lines on peak days/ times. Still it is great quality, super tasty latin cuisine. Good and simple cuban style food. Great for take out as the dinning room is not very comfortable. Good lunch option for amount of food, price and location.

When you first walk in, this place stands out as just being different. A lot of the staff at Romanian Garden speak with heavy accents, which for me is a plus. The menu is in English and Romanian, and the smells coming from the kitchen are wonderfu It's a nice combination of comfort food (think meat and potatoes) and the exotic. Some dishes are similar to other Eastern European foods (like stuffed cabbage), while some are quite unique (like mamaliga: polenta with cheese and sour cream and maybe an egg).
Kosher Marketplace is the only full-service kosher market in Manhattan, and its items are of an unparalleled quality and kashrut. The minute you walk in the smell of fantatsic prepared food is ovrwelming. The daily specials are incredible.They also have take away food which is very fresh, and there meat and poultry section is fantatstic. The restaurant has a semi-romantic ambiance with candle lit tables. However, it is homey and cute and the staff warm and friendly. More importantly, the food is awesomely hearty. The food is authentic and the selection is wide. Excellent food....greatly recommend the meat plate. MENU

If you decide to keep kosher and you're looking for some high-end prepared food, this grocery store can beat hands-down most kosher restaurants. Over-all though a great store that is fun to bring people to for the first time. Kudos to the entire aisle of work/lunch appropriate snack type items. The prepared foods - especially the fish - are superb, and their selection of poultry and meat is amazing.
Wonderful little shop for purchasing coffee brewing supplies, coffee beans (or tea) and maybe even a fresh-brewed cup. It's small, sure. But it's filled from floor to ceiling with coffees, teas, and yummy treats. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee, or some coffee by the pound, look no further. It's always nice to support local small businesses, too. The staff is super friendly and are more than willing to give you advice on their different blends.This is a real neighborhood coffee shop.

Finally, a place that has the perfect blend to make a rich, bold tasting coffee without being too strong or having a burnt taste. The baristas are very friendly and helpful.
