Pata Negra is a gem -- perfect for spending some quality time with a friend/date while sipping on wine & snacking on tapas! The storefront is tiny and easy to miss, but once you step in, you are enveloped in the warmth & intimacy that is Pata Negra. It's cozy & romantic. The tapas are delectable, the servers know their wine, and the wine, predictably, is superb. Price is reasonable for Manhattan, and the space is quaint, albeit a tight squeeze and hard to get a seat. Really small, cute and cozy wine and tapas restaurant. The wine selection is extraordinary.
Alta has fantastic food, service and ambiance. It's a little tricky to find -- there is no sign or address number, and you have to walk down a few steps to go inside. Fantastic tapas bar with innovative small plates. A great date place and flavorful food. The seafood is fresh but few portions are way too small. Need atleast 3-4 portions per person. MENU
Very very delicious. The finest recipes from Spain indeed! Their foods are prepared fresh each morning and made with imported ingredients as well as locally sourced produce. Try their selections of tapas, pintxos, bocadillos, flautas, tortillas, salads, soups or desserts. They carry specialty drinks from Spain such as horchata, soda, beer and hot chocolate.
