Their Ackee and Saltfish is amazing and their oxtail stew is pretty damn good. They also have staples like Homemade Sorrel Kaboom has all the right spices and delicious flavors. Small,, very causal little hole in the wall but great food with authentic flavors. Service is great
Authentic Jamaican food. This place had amazing food. The jerk chicken here compares to the best anywhere, food never disappoints, friendly staff The Jerk is delicious, the meat is perfectly cooked and succulent with the skin still retaining a sort of crispy texture.
This is how Jamaican food is supposed to taste. The red beans and rice perfectly seasoned. The festival bread is soft and chewy, packed with a dose of deliciousness in every bite. Fried plantains cooked just right. Veggies are seasoned with just enough broth that the flavors are saturated but not salty. This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Los aLngeles. MENU
Mofongo's is a must try for LA restaurants and hopefully this gem will bring Puerto Rican food to the map in LA. No matter what you order here the food a great! The Jibarito de Pollo is almost as good as the Lechon one, get it if you don't eat pork. It truly brings a taste of Puerto Rico to LA.. MENU
Super friendly staff and great no frills Cuban cuisine! This is a great restaurant. They put a lot into the preparation. Everybody orders the lechon asado.? The prices reasonable portions big and food really good! Such great Cuban food, better than most places, it is very authentic.
There aren't many Jamaican restaurants in L.A. but this one is as authentic as they come. It reminds you of actually being at a roadside restaurant in Jamaica. The food is delicious. Food is great. Good portions. Great beverages (they usually have some ginger in it). Great Jamaican patties. MENU
Amazing food! A lot of really complex flavors. Treehouse's specialities seem to be T&T street food like roti (somewhere between a burrito and a tamale) and pholourie. According to a Trinidadian friend, the food is authentic. Their Roti is delicious and made fresh. MENU
This is by far the best Cuban food in Southern California. If you are looking for authentic Cuban food then this is the place to go. The Cuban food is delicious and the service is excellent and best of all the prices are super reasonable!!
Great restaurant with such a wonderful and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Hamid, is the best at making all of his patrons feel welcome. He does a great job of immersing you into the Caribbean culture naturally with the food of the region, but also by giving some background and history.The have a limited available choice Caribbean / Trinidad-Tobago style cuisine. The selections at Callaloo are a nice surprise!
El Nuevo Mundo Market is a pecialists in authentic Creole Cuban food... where you will find what you need to create the most delicious dishes. They have an extensive variety of items and produce found locally and from various Latin American countries. They also offer prepared meals ready to eat here or take out. A favorite place for pan dulce, fresh guacamole, chicken, and carne asada. This place has great customer service.
Their sandwiches are tasty, they make their bread on site. Their pastries are good, their coffee is strong but tasty, and their freshly squeezed juices are top notch. The cafe con leche and fresh juices are excellent. The croissants that they make their breakfast sandwiches on are buttery and flavorful. The guava cheese pie is as good as everyone says. But it's the chocolate eclairs that are out of this world.
