This is a great restaurant all the way around. Amazing flavorful food. Really really delicious. Reasonably priced. This place is truly amazing. Location is excellent, setting is really nice. Comfy dining area and provide outdoor seating. They have clearly marked vegan options on their menu! The service is excellent and it's such a cozy spot with great ambiance. Street parking nearby was not difficult, which is always a plus in LA. MENU
The owners are super-friendly, the place has a great vibe and cool decor, and the food is fabulous. Awesome food for a great price. The food is really great. It's a lot of serving so if you get the combo for two make sure you have a lot of room in your stomach. Parking was not too bad to find.
This is a place African people *go* to eat, to have the food they know and love, rathen than a place Americans like me go to have African food, which makes it special indeed. The food is excellent, the price is right, and the service very quick. Staples of Nigerian cuisine appear made up of heavy flavored dry soups and very spicy meat stews, eaten with a starchy mound of yam dough called fufu.
Their Somali food is amazing! Delicious food, just be careful not to over-order! They give you lots of food; owners are very friendly as well. Get some nice Somali chai and a banana to complete your meal. The goat dishes are really good. The spice combinations are outstanding, it had a 'kick' but not overwhelming. the salad is simple and perfectly flavored.
This restaurant never disappoints. Everything is always perfect, from the food to the service right down to the decor. If you want to try the bold flavors of South African food come to the Springbok. The menu was even authentic, suggesting the best pairings for beer and rugby. Their food never disappoints and fills you up. Fun place to watch all of your sports! Great neighborhood bar with a nice staff.
Eldorado Bar and Grill offers a menu with all the standard favorite soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees; but also features quite a few different selections from the owners homeland of South Africa such as Peri-Peri Chicken, Boerewors rolls and burgers (a South African sausage with beef / lamb / pork), and Durban Curry with Rice. MENU
Totally delicious, authentic Egyptian food. Plenty of food for those with an appetite. The hummus is amazing. Highly recommended. Extensive selections of hookah flavors. Beautiful outdoor patio.
It is a small restaurant. Pricing is below average, you get lots of food. The service can be below average at times but the food makes up for it. The meals are flavorful with lots of spices. It's super casual and down home, no pretense or fanciness, just really flavorful food.
Best fresh Ethiopian coffee in town and amazing Ethiopian food made fresh on the spot. Amazing service with a smile. They have a small market with interesting items and good coffee, tea and desserts. Really tasty Ethiopian food. Much more subtle earthy flavors. Due to using fresh ingredients and very little salt. All in all probably one of the healthier and tastier Ethiopian places. MENU
Wonderful little place with homemade flavourful creations and extremely friendly, hospitable owners. It's like being invited for dinner at the home of the nice Ethiopian neighbours you never had. And very inexpensive/great value! The food is awesome. .. good quantity and delicious ... the lady behind the counter was nice enough to explain what each entrée was and how it was meant to be eaten .
A very quaint and comfortable restaurant with fantastic food. Vegetarian platter is vegan and great. Really reasonable price for the portions. The most important thing is their very quick service and authentic cooking. MENU
Azla is one of the best vegan Ethiopian restaurants. They are gluten-free and use organic veggies/ingredients! Azla is an overall magical experience. Whether you are vegan, gluten free, or have allergy/sensitivities, the friendly staff is more than willing to assist you in choosing your dish. The food here is seriously good . MENU
Gourmet Ethiopian, if you will, and probably the best restaurant in Little Ethiopia. Delicious food, perfect for the experienced or novice Ethiopian diner. The care taken in the preparation was clear in each dish - incredibly fresh, bright flavors, rich stews and tangy sauces is an absolute delight. MENU
Five Stars for the food. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Try the Kafta Tajeen which has beef, and lamb and tomatoes, and comes with either cous cous or basalmi rice. Asha never disappoints. food is flavorful and the service is great. Their food is always great and the staff is really friendly. It's very middle eastern and makes you feel immersed in the culture.
The menu is not extensive, but it offers the generally preferred offerings, providing something for almost everyone. Where possible, the food is made to order (kebabs, etc.). When not possible (e.g., tagines), it is still fresh, tasty and delightful. The moist lamb, lamb kebabs, spicy cigars, handmade merguez and couscous royale are all winners. MENU
