It seems unique: part cafe and Afghani grill shop. And it's also a a busy butcher shop, so the meat has to be good. Their specials include: Afghan plov - a mixed grill served with Afghani bread, rice and side salad and Monto s a dish of delicately spiced minced meat pasta dumplings in a light tomato sauce, with a yoghurt sauce splashed over the top. Also the normal range of kebobs and grills.
Coffees are fast and very well made- no slacking for the staff behind the barista bar. The best part about Palomino is that they not only do lovely coffees, but they also have a great menu for brekky and lunch.
Traditional Filipino food available from a bainmaire. It is also a bakery and mini mart. You will find a good selection of classic dishes including: pan de coco, coconut bread; sisig, super crispy crunchy pork; dinuguan, pork blood stew (YUM).
Not only is the coffee great, the staff are always on good form, including plenty of banter with regulars they obviously know well and get along with.
The storefront is consistently stocked with the freshest and most vibrant array of pastries, breads and desserts backed by friendly staff. The bakers here are not only very knowledgeable but very passionate about the food they make and it radiates through their personalities, through their pastries and of course, on the award-lined wall. Aria sells Persian fast food including kababs, hot dogs, burgers and their (somewhat less known) "Persian sandwiches". They seem to focus a lot on offal but include chicken and beef combinations. Well worth a vist, a pleasant change from the better known Vietnamese banh mi.
Known for really good coffee. A large and varied menu with some off beat additions to Cafe breakfast standards. The English Breakfast is recommended!
They serve the traditional range of Middle Eastern fare; kebabs, breads and grilled meats. Their specials include: Tika, chunks of tendy bbq lamb; Rice and fasolia; BBQ fish (blackened on the outside and flattened like a Portuguese chicken); Bread/curry stew, lamb hunks in a tomato based sauce.
The coffee is fantastic - some of the best in Sydney, if not cheap, with single origins and house blends. The food amazing with artisan breads you can also take home and more!
They serve up the traditional range of Middle Eastern food including a pita pocket which contains garlic chicken, pickles, humos and just about every salad on offer; falafel, humos and tahini; also a selection of fried mushrooms and cauliflower. They have an outstanding range of home made dips which would justify any visit.
