REAL chocolate is the currency of San Churro – it is their life work, and they are devoted – some would say fanatical – about delivering the very best chocolate experience possible to like-minded devotees. It’s a project of passion that they undertake with a fierce dedication to fine ingredients, a nod to chocolate’s wonderfully rich history, and a devotion to having fun and enjoying the journey.
Cocolat is an icon of sorts on Rundle Street, most people have been here at least once and it sets a high standard for the dessert cafés in Adelaide. The store sprawls over a narrow block and opens out the back into the lane ways near Ebenezer Place and the Belgian Beer Café.
All of their chocolates and pastries are made in their kitchen. Designed with maximum flavour in mind, the chocolates and gateaux are made with only the finest ingredients. Pure fruits, beautiful Tahitian Vanilla pods, premium nuts exotic spices and dried fruits are used; they absolutely do not use preservatives or additives to extend shelf life.
Chocolate to Die For have all things chocolates and offer all your favourite flavours. You can hand pick individual pieces from their glass display cabinet; my favourites are praline chocolate and cappuccino chocolates. The store also offers pre-packaged chocolates if choosing individual pieces is too much of a hassle for you.
