Veal schnitzel with sautéed vegetables

Main Ingredient Veal


 3 slices bacon chopped

4 veal cutlets, pounded thin

4 assorted small peppers (capsicums), sliced

1 large onion, sliced

3 carrots, sliced

3 – 4 small tomatoes, seeded and diced

2 tablespoons garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons paprika

1 cup red wine

2 cups beef stock

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons flour


1 Sautee bacon in frying pan until cooked through And fat rendered

2 Add veal & sauté until brown, remove from pan and set aside

3 Add vegetables except tomato and cook on low heat until soft.

4 Add paprika, tomato, red wine, stock, salt & pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer

5 Add veal, cook and simmer on low for 2-3 minutes

6 Mix sour cream & flour together until well mixed

7 Add slowly to veal continuously stirring until creamy consistency achieve

8 Serve with hot mashed potatoes or spaetzle
