Baked salmon that the whole family will enjoy - especially kids


Yield 4 servings

Main Ingredient Salmon


4 skinless salmon fillets (1 lb./450 g) 

3 Tbsp.  balsamic dressing 

2 Tbsp. maple syrup

4-1/2 tsp. grainy Dijon mustard 

2 tsp. Low salt soy sauce

Fresh chives for garnish


1 Mix all ingredients except salmon

2 Keep 1/4 cup aside and pour balance over salmon in a shallow dish, ensuring all sides are coated

3 Refrigerate fish & balance of marinade for 30 mins

4 Heat oven to 450 F. (230 C) Remove fish from marinade & discard used marinade. 

5 Put salmon in oven in a single layer in shallow foil lined pan/dish

6 Bake 8-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily.

7 Meanwhile bring reserved marinade to a boil in saucepan, simmer on medium - low heat for 2-3 minutes  or until slightly thickened. Stir continuously

8 serve salmon topped with sauce. Garnish with fresh chives
