This old fashioned butcher shop, Croatian owned and run, is one of San Pedro's culinary gems. In addition to a full selection of beef, port, lamb and chicken, they also have the best fresh fish in town, with fillets often cut to order from the fish itself. There are also Croatian beef and lamb specialties.
This is a true gourmet "market" ..... Fantastic cheese, meats and the biggest selection of pickled olives in town I believe. This place is a foodie's dream! They have an amazing selection of gourmet fresh and canned goodies. The store is clean and well organized. VISIT SITE
This is the place I choose to stock up on all things French (as the owners and staff are French). If you're a big foodie... but on a budget... then this is heaven! Epicure is a import grocery store (more warehouse...than grocery story) that specializes in high end European fare. They are open to the public on week ends, a nice parking lot. Great selections of imported food and great prices too.
The patisserie is all delicious and items of similar caliber are very hard to find in LA. The pain au raisin is delicious and not overly sweet like at other places; the biscuits (cookies) are perfection and worth the splurge; the tarts and pastries are all delicious Baked goods range from $4-6 , but really they look so great and their ingredients are top notch! This place had everything as far as middle eastern spices. Halabi beber (Aleppo Pepper), dried mint (nane), sumac, lentil, cumin, and all at reasonable prices. Great variety of fresh spices at very good prices! It is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall but well worth venturing in and poking around. It's got just about every spice you'd need. It's also got frozen basturma and soujouk, pomegranate paste, an endless array of jams, jellies, and dried fruits, and a decent selection of Greek, Armenian, and Middle Eastern cheeses.
They sell fresh pastas, bread, imported Italian snacks and candies, and feature a deli to die for. It doesn't get much more authentic for an Italian Meat Market than Sorrento's. The selection of Italian products is great and the people are very friendly and nice. For around or under $5 you can get a quarter-a half a pound of Mortadella, Bresaola, Prosciutto, Salami, Parma Ham, Pancetta, or Capocollo. They also have imported Prosciutto and fresh antipasti, along with dried squid ink pasta. VISIT SITE

Imported balsamic vinegar and Italian goodies everywhere. They have a large variety of pastas that you wont find anywhere, a deli, some produce, and frozen gnocci.
It's a small grocery store/deli and they have great sandwiches! Classic old school market / deli. This place has apparently been around since 1939. Totally awesomely quaint Mom & Pop deli/general shop. The sandwiches are very good and cheap!
If you are Turkish , and looking for a local market that carries lots of Turkish groceries, this is the place for you. Half of the store is dedicated to Turkish groceries while the other half is dedicated to Indian/Pakistani groceries. This store has a lot of Turkish brand products and halal meat.
