Great Chinese supermarket in South London, which is a rarity. Lots of choice too, and prices were generally on par or even cheaper than in Chinatown. They try to stock as much organic, locally grown produce as possible.
It is a great Spanish grocery store that stocks up on all the chorizo, dulce de leche, Rioja, and smoked paprika to your heart's desire. The deli side is packed full of products that are either difficult or impossible to get hold of in the UK, horchata and ready-made tortilla for example. There is an extensive selection of Spanish wines and spirits, and the food aisles are so close together and so packed that it is often difficult to move in the shop, especially at the weekends. Great Mediterranean / Middle Eastern supermarket just off Camden High Street. Loads of imported foods from Cyprus to Palestine to Egypt and loads more. All the different grains and wheat etc you would ever need. Lots of interesting tinned goods - salads and vegetables and traditional dishes. Not a massive selection and not the best quality but perfectly fine and not expensive.
The assortment isn't enormous, they stock most of the basic Asian ingredients as well as : edamame beans, frozen dumplings, frozen shrimps, bok choy, lemon grass, ready-to-go noodles, sushi- and long-grain rice and all other kinds of "ethnic" ingredients that the regular British supermarket wouldn't carry. Green Lanes has some of the best and the cheapest Mediterranean groceries in London and is by far one of the best Cypriot shops. You can find can find feta cheese, fresh vine leaves and baklava to delicious fresh bread. It's also got the character and charm that you'd expect from a Mediterranean shop. The fruit and veg is very fresh and they have a great choice of herbs wrapped in big bunches. There are lots of different olives to choose from and the kalamata olives ones are really juicy,
This shop is an excellent proprietor of halal goods. There is a wide selection of meats available to buy, and a reasonable selection of fruit and vegetable. Alongside the halal is a host of other ethnically traditional branded foods. You can get regular items like rice, juice and all manner of beans.
Camberwell gets its Turkish supermarket in true fashion to suit the needs of the local Cypriot, Turkish and Greek communities here as well as any locals who misses the taste of their holidays. There is a nice selection of food, which goes beyond the SE Mediterranean cuisine but caters for many eastern European palates. Nice bakery counter where you can get fresh pide and simit as well as a selection of börek and sweets like baklava.
Halal Way has an assortment of veggies, a fresh meat counter, a dairy section, and other ethnic goods such as nuts, tahini, jams, breads.
This is absolutely the best deli and casual dining place in Richmond. If you fancy cooking at home, they have just about every italian ingredient for you to buy and take away with you.
