This is the best supermarket option for kosher eaters on the UWS. The prepared foods, especially at Passover time, are delectable and are in a class of their own. This small grocer has that cute family run vibe and has the old fashioned fair price for quality product feel. There are a number of things that Carmel sells way below supermarket or other local stores that are worth coming back for over and over again. Find many Israeli goods here that other Kosher stores don't or won't carry. Is open Saturday (Shabbat). This is THE location for eastern European goods. This place offers specialty items, specifically from Israel Russia too.

It is a great Persian market... amazing fresh cut flowers, great cheese (both French and Bulgarian), fresh meat, cheese, Persian teas, and amazing fruit. In the winter time, no one has bigger pomegranates than this store...no one. Clean & fresh groceries, dairy products and a few but good deli items. If you're looking for somewhere to pick up Middle Eastern food items I have yet to come across a better place than Jordan Market.

This is wonderful ethnic supermarket that carries a large selection of Middle Eastern grocery items. They sell a range of items from cookware to nuts, and Persian ice cream to sesame paste. The owner is very sweet and offered a large sampling of his ice cream and hot deli items. Awesome Persian ice cream. Very friendly and helpful staff!

They have a small selection of a wide variety of Irish imports. If you are looking for Irish ANYTHING, this is the place to go. Everything from chocolate to tins of peas, beans, custards and treacle! McVities, HobNobs - and some of the best array of Irish and British candy you will see in LA (Cadbury, Quality Street, etc). There are mixes for trifle, puddings, brown bread, soda bread and potato bread. A few kinds of cereal and oatmeals, fab selections of teas (loose and bagged), nice assortment of drinks and sodas,
