They are a wholesale/retail store that has been around for years. They carry many imported items that you normally couldn't find elsewhere. When you first walk in you're greeted with some ready-made foods and produce. As you make your way you'll happen across a cheese emporium, a full deli, a robust seafood selection, a freezer full of gelato, a tapas showcase, and end with a bakery. The fresh pastas are really impressive and other places really can not compete. An expensive supermarket.
Excellent Italian food and always a treat when I walk in. Great selection of cheeses and bread. They always carry quality ingredients. It's also very clean. They always give you free samples and make sure that you walk away buying the best cheeses for your taste buds. They sell fresh pastas, bread, imported Italian snacks and candies, and feature a deli to die for. It doesn't get much more authentic for an Italian Meat Market than Sorrento's. The selection of Italian products is great and the people are very friendly and nice. For around or under $5 you can get a quarter-a half a pound of Mortadella, Bresaola, Prosciutto, Salami, Parma Ham, Pancetta, or Capocollo. Claro's really is the definition of friendly neighborhood market. It seems like they have everything Italian that you could imagine. his place is great for the foodie that wants a taste of Italy. Imported balsamic vinegar and Italian goodies everywhere. They have a large variety of pastas that you wont find anywhere, a deli, some produce, and frozen gnocci.
It's a small grocery store/deli and they have great sandwiches! Classic old school market / deli. This place has apparently been around since 1939. Totally awesomely quaint Mom & Pop deli/general shop. The sandwiches are very good and cheap!
Though it is on the small side, it has an amazing selection of Asian ingredients - mostly Japanese, obviously. The store has a number of eateries, a bakery and a Japanese book/video store. This Japanese market is full of fresh fruits, vegetables, and authentic Japanese snacks!
