Located in the heart of Philadelphia's 9th St Italian Market, Fante's specializes in everything kitchen. They have a wonderful coffee section, all kinds of machines and different types of coffees. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are knowledgable about the items in the store. The cooking and appliance demonstrations are excellent.
This kosher butcher has a ton of variety. All kinds of meat, chicken and a bunch of different Israeli products. All kosher meats are also Halal. For the Muslim neighbors of the northeast, this wonderful couple would love to make their top quality meats part of your next Eid celebration. There's the standard selection of kosher meat products, but also a lot of specialty things -- house made sausages and different kinds of burgers.
The service, quality, and prices cannot be beat! This place is amazing! The butcher/owner knows exactly what he's doing and cares about it too! Everything is fresh and he'll cut whatever you want if you call ahead and let him know. Great experience, highly recommended.
It's a butcher shop in the back but a super market in the front with many Halal goods. Besides that they have hardware store items, prayer items, some drug store items, and even some clothes.
Starting at the front it's like a convenient store with cold drinks, ice cream, snacks, etc. But it's a full service supermarket with many aisles of items. The Meat Counter & Deli in the back is where you will get all the Halal Fresh meats & combos.
If you're visiting Philly, I would definitely recommend visiting. It's loaded with Italian specialty shops that stock items that are imported, authentic and very hard to find in your average grocery store these days Great place if you are looking for authentic pasta, fresh fruit, and original italian salami and cold cuts. Parking is a little thought to find
They have a wide selection of meats, vegetables, Mexican foods and items, and lo and behold, a quaint counter for their kitchen menu: different tacos, tamales, and tortas. Specializing in selliing things like Jarritos, tomatillos, dried chiles, cotija cheese, and of course meats, this Meat Market also sells homemade tortilla chips and tamales!
This is a full fledged Supermarket that also caters to Latin/ W. Indies and Caribbean cooking and brands They have all sorts of specialty meats, veggies and herbs for Latino/Caribbean and West Indies. They have a On Site bakery, flowers, ATM's, just like a Acme/Shoprite (albeit smaller scale).
Get your cheap veggies and ingredients for Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese items, Great produce that lasts much longer than the average grocery store. Hard to navigate if you're only English speaking. Very friendly staff. HUGE selection of chili paste/sauce and all of the curry you could want.
