Essene is our go to place for vitamins, supplements, and natural foods. This place is old school veggie, vegan, macro-food. Great vitamin & beauty department here. love the bulk herb section! It is absolutely my favorite. They have everything from parsley to vanilla beans to chamomile.
Mariposa has a great selection of healthy foods. Organic veggies, raw milk, dry goods, even some frozen foods and household products. As with most co-ops, it is on the pricier side if you're not a member. They have a good selection of bulk foods, coffee. Also lots of vegetarian proteins options here, as well as sandwiches and salads.

This is a place where when you walk in and feel like you're getting a glimpse of our region's fertility...everything from vegetables grown in our soil, bread out of neighbor's ovens, and jerky from our piggies' bellies.
Raw milk, eggs, and frozen chickens sold here. Wonderful fresh seasonal foods. All of the produce is completely organic and locally sourced, and the meat (only sold pre-frozen) all comes from local farms and is also organic and antibiotic free.
Great gourmet grocery store with all the amenities right in the heart of downtown Philly. Great, spacious gourmet market in Center City. They carry it all, elaborate, fancy cheeses and meats for charcuterie, fresh veggies and fruits, and an extensive pastry and breads assortment accompanied by a coffee bar.This location has full fish, meat, and cheese counters in addition to a bakery, plus all of the typical gourmet/hard-to-find prepared products that makes DiBruno Bros great.
They have an incredible selection of food, drinks, snacks, and different household items. Great variety of food and snacks! Highly recommended to those having a party and needs some stuff (soda, snack) at the last moment! They also have some fresh sandwiches and wraps they actually can make them at your order with ingredients you want!
Really cute, very very small shop. Well stocked with lots of locally made and store made specialty items. There are a lot of interesting things, like artisan drink mixes.You can you get all the trimmings from your favorite spots around the city and suburbs? We're talking creamy hummus from Zahav and those gorgeous meringues from Fond, locally farmed meats, produce and cheese, Severino pasta and Market Day Canelé, to name a few.
Clean , friendly , great selection of prepared foods , cheese , ice cream , healthy and indulgent munchies , and the best hoagies in town. They appear to have everything: drinks, frozen items, cleaning products, snacks, gourmet foods, fruit, vegetables, baked goods and a full deli of Boars Head products.
They have everything from pantry staples, snacks like chips and candy, magazines, drinks galore, a deli counter, and frozen foods ( Ben & Jerry's!). A bit pricey but you will find everything you need here.
