Highly recommend this place for beer it also has a lot of other good food and wine etc. There's always fresh fruit/veg, and as long as it's in season, you'll find it here for cheap. They also have a ton of wine, some liquor, fresh produce, frozen foods, the regular stuff.
This is the spot if you're Puerto Rican and you need any of the food you grew up with. They have all the ingredients, which is great, but then they also have pre-made things like sofrito and pastele. This store is smaller than your average grocer, however it is very affordable, clean & everyone that works there is really friendly. You can do your general shopping here and they have a decent beer and wine selection! Without a doubt, Alexandra has the best pierogies in town. This place is a pierogi factory with a tiny storefront outlet along Central, but it seems all the Polish people know about it. Alexandra's is clean, neat, and organized. This is by far the best place to buy pierogi (this is plural spelling in Polish) in the Chicago vicinity. They make them with all the familiar stuffings known to Polish people. VISIT SITE
This is seriously one of the best Polish deli ever! Their deli section is packed with only the best meats and cheeses. Everything it's fresh and priced well below regular chain store delis like Jewel. Service is phenomenal. Don't worry if you're not Polish and don't speak the language. Everyone here knows enough English for you to get your shopping done. The fresh produce is very inexpensive and fantastic quality. VISIT SITE
This place is great for Russian food . They have all sorts of sausages, pierogi (fried pastry surrounding either meat or potatoes), pilmeny ( like ravioli (kinda)filled with veal, beef, chicken) that they sell frozen and you can keep in the freezer for emergencies, vareniky (similar to pilmeny, but filled with cherries or potato and mushroom...). They also have prepared Russian salads, fancy cakes, nuts, candy, chocolate, liquor, and bottled prepared Russian goodies like zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, etc. It's hard to find really good authentic Russian deli items but Eurostyle Deli has i
