Any possible Indian spice or herb that you could possibly imagine is stocked by this store. It is awesome! There are some fresh veggies and herbs...but this place is better for it's packaged/dry items. Good selection of spices, sweets, packaged goods, and anything Indian you could imagine. Patel Brothers is the place to go for any Indian sauces, pastes, and spices. It's set up sort of (mini) retail-warehouse style and it can be a little hard to navigate when there are a lot of people there. Visit Site

It is the place every Mexican and Puerto Rican worth their sea salt shops for produce, meat and spices. There is a great butcher shop at Cermak, wonderful spices, endless produce (with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables favored by the Puerto Rican/Mexican community), and all the usual dry goods you would expect to find at a decent supermercado. They have a great selection of Mexican necessities (dried chiles, nopales, corn husks, cheeses, cheap avocados, etc.), a decent Asian section, and more recently some organic and specialty products. You can find all the usual grocery store stuff here too. Every single employee here loves their job! It's super cheap and they now carry "green" and organic products
