This is a great little spice importing business run by a Sri Lankan* family who have been importing spices to the Americas and Europe for generations. Their cinnamon is top drawer, flavorful, gorgeous and direct from Sri Lanka. They have beautiful selections of bulk pickling spices, allspice, cloves, chilis, pumpkin seeds, cumin, coriander, various peppers. VISIT SITE

This grocery store has everything you need if you are looking to make a Thai dish. They even have items imported from Thailand including kitchen utensils. All vegetarians should be shopping here! The extensive mock meat section far surpasses your Whole Foods wet dream. It's Taiwanese imports, but it the same stuff your eating at most Thai or Chinese vegetarian restaurants. Plus their selection of aromatic herbs is outstanding: Lemongrass, Purple Basil, Kaffir Lime, Jalapenos... and so on.

Good variety of fresh produce, but somewhat lacking in quantity. They also have a wide variety of dried goods, canned goods, jars of sauces,rice noodles (huge variety of noodles), cold beverages, frozen goods/meats and cooking/serving implements. This market is affordable and very well stocked.  Things like lemongrass, ginger, garlic, galang, shallots, basil, oyster mushrooms, cilantro, limes, coconut milk (in the paper carton type box that rice milk is often packaged in), etc., are all very fresh and make for some really great soups.

LAX-C

LAX-C is basically Thai Costco, a huge warehouse or super supermarket of asian foods. LAX-C carries a large number of Asian products, many are imported Thai products. They also carry fresh products as well as frozen products. You'll find all the things you'll need at an Asian market and much more. The place itself is rather messy and you'll find many items that are dusty.  There's plenty of dry and refrigerated ingredients.  The fresh seafood and produce sections were pretty small.

fFnd all your Venezuelan, Cuban, Spanish  food needs including Jamon serrano, chorizo, lomo, turron, polvorones...I could go on. They have products you could find in most large specialized Hispanic markets but where they stand out is their collection of cured meats. If you are looking for something special in the cured meat department head here.

They have fresh fish and will kill/skin it on the spot. If you live in the area and need  asian spices, sauces, noodles, special ingredients, exotic fruits and vegetables  or fresh fish, check it out.   Extremely friendly. A variety of Asian and Hispanic products. Big fish selection and helpful staff.

They have plenty of imports from various regions mostly specializing in Sri Lankan, Indian and other Asian foods. Other than vegetables this place has your standard herbs and spices that adhere to Sri Lanka and India food. They also have British products, including British tea. They even have Australian Vegemite. It is a nice, clean, well stocked store and the owners are friendly.

A decent place for Sri Lankan and Kerala food items. It is a small grocery store with speciality items form Sri Lanka and India. They have a wide variety of dry fish all imported from Sri Lanka. Also they have reputed food like MD brand jams and sambo.
