They have a variety of different sausages ranging from beef, pork, and poultry sausages and promote that they don't use additives, which is nice and now has some gluten and filler-free handmade sausages, as well as traditionally raised pork, beef and poultry. They also have sandwiches, salads and other prepared foods.
They have Portuguese custard tarts, baklava, brownies, fudge, macarons and almost anything your heart desires.. So if your the type to have a sweet tooth of some sort, check this place out.
A wide variety of fresh fish and other portuguese staples like salted cod, olive oil, etc..this is a typical fish market so expect to see the whole experience ie the smell, the pick your own and the scaling in front of you..if you've only purchased your fish frozen and plastic wrapped from your local grocery store this may not be the place for you, but if you want to experience true fishmongers and eat fresh then give it a try. A great experience.
You will find a variety of ready made sauces, Latin American foodstuffs and canned goods. This is the ultimate in One Stop Latin food shopping. Great resource for Mexican food, including but not limited to: salsas, chipotles, tortillas. If you can't find it, just ask: the people who work there are very helpful and friendly.
Small, clean shop with lots of Mexican non-perishable goods, pinatas, sodas, snacks, religious candles, some chorizo, and dairy products. They offer a small menu of burritos, tacos, and churros as well.
Hartmans Fine Kosher Foods is a well-established kosher butcher and prepared foods store with two locations, both unsurprisingly on Bathurst Street. Calling itself "the old-fashioned butcher shop with modern day sensibilities", the store is a long-standing tradition amongst many locals, which is truly saying something given the large number of similarly competing businesses within the vicinity. From kosher kebabs to Israeli chicken and kreplach, this place pretty much has it all and is a great place to visit to put together a kosher menu for your gatherings. Closed Saturdays.
Toronto Kosher is another quality option to consider for fresh meat, with a spread that includes lamb, organic chicken, turkey, veal, and beef.
A very popular Bakery! They have pretty good natas (Portuguese egg tarts) and they also have amazing cannoli (the tube shaped pastries filled with ricotta cream). So delicious. As well they have a large assortment of pastries and some typical Portuguese breakfast snacks. Web site.
The hallmark of this shop is produce. Fresh, varied, and generally a couple of grades higher than you'll find elsewhere they manage to keep an excellent selection and fantastic pricing due to the solid base of their Portuguese customers and growing traffic from neighborhood newcomers.
