They have a decent selection of everything you'd need. Surprisingly, they had vegetarian banh trung thu (moon cakes). They stock big bunches of coriander and thai basil; fresh tofu; frozen black prawns; char sui buns; lotus root; sushi ginger; sushi rice; black bean sauce; kikkoman soy sauce; japanese kare (curry) stock cubes; Pokki chocolate sticks and much more.
A Spanish grocery store, that has all you might want. They have a fantastic selection of Manchego cheeses, and the decadent and delicious Nocilla, Spain's version of Nutella,. They also have magazines, and tapas, which you can eat there, and they are really yummy, it is a great place to get a taste of Spain in a low-key environment in London
Describing itself as an 'Indian English Afro Grocery', Dadus is a big cash and carry shop on Tooting's High St. They stock a good range of groceries at reasonable prices.
Nice selection of mostly Vietnamese foods, but a fair amount of Chinese products and some other random bits and bobs as well. Not tons of produce, but probably enough to get you going. The employees were particularly friendly and inquired after what I was making. It stocks a lot of ingredients that you would typically use in Vietnamese and oriental cooking like fish sauce, lemon grass stalks, MSG, soya sauce, oyster sauce etc.
A local supermarket where you can get most of your weekly shop if you have a mind to. One of the type of shops where you can get those really tasty orange- coloured Cyprus potatoes that you can do anything with. Also extensive is the pre-packed range of cured (Polish?) sausages and ham/bacon pieces.
This german Deli has averything a german heart far from home craves for. They do have a huge choice of sweets, soups, sauceges and bread. Best over the counter wurst in town. If you like all things German foodwise you need to pay this place a visit.
If you like Vietnamese/Asian staples, this is worth a visit. It has a little bit of everything including, fresh greens including lemon grass and herbs, an aisle full of jarred sauces and spices, loads of dried staples - noodles, mushrooms and many freezer cases of exotic seafoods, spring rolls and other fare.
This place is great for all kinds of Chinese noodles, tofu, produce, dried and canned goods, snacks and drinks. Only thing you need to be aware of is it's cash only, but there's a cashpoint outside the Tesco just a half-minute walk east on Seven Sisters.They also stock a bit of Korean and Japanese groceries too
A great selection of meats and cheeses at the deli counter and an endless array goods imported from Italy including boxes of sundry quality pasta, jars of pesto, and cans of olives etc.
Nice little Thai shop where you can find all the basics. The fresh produce was limited on the day I went, but the shelves were labeled with all the usual herbs and vegetables common in Thai cuisine. Excellent source of genuine Thai produce including fresh fruit and vegetables. They do pre-prepared takeaway meals for micro-waving most days
