If you are price conscious, you'll love Winco.  Yes, the normal prices may be comparable to Walmart, but the sale prices can be unbelievable and the selection is that of a full grocery store (unlike Walmart).  They have a decent selection of Mexican & Asian produce, spices, sauces, noodles, etc and the prices are very good. Bakery section is fresh and delicious, and cheaper than many other stores on many items. The bulk food aisles have a large selection of items!

There is a good mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, Filipino, Taiwanese and Indian to name the predominant goods they carry here. The cashiers/staff working here are very helpful and friendly. Mekong is a nice sized supermarket with a large seafood and meat counter. Dry and canned goods are plentiful. The cashiers are young, friendly, and fast. If you want to avoid the crowds, then go on weekdays. LAX-C is basically Thai Costco, a huge warehouse or super supermarket of asian foods. LAX-C carries a large number of Asian products, many are imported Thai products. They also carry fresh products as well as frozen products. You'll find all the things you'll need at an Asian market and much more. The place itself is rather messy and you'll find many items that are dusty.  There's plenty of dry and refrigerated ingredients.  The fresh seafood and produce sections were pretty small.

Good variety of fresh produce, but somewhat lacking in quantity. They also have a wide variety of dried goods, canned goods, jars of sauces,rice noodles (huge variety of noodles), cold beverages, frozen goods/meats and cooking/serving implements. This market is affordable and very well stocked.  Things like lemongrass, ginger, garlic, galang, shallots, basil, oyster mushrooms, cilantro, limes, coconut milk (in the paper carton type box that rice milk is often packaged in), etc., are all very fresh and make for some really great soups.

This is a great family run grocery store - heavy on Asian items, good cheap produce, and butcher shop. They have all the ingredients and produce you'll need to make Asian meals including Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnameseand Chinese dishes and more. This grocery warehouse market rocks have star fruit -jujubes, mangos-durian and hundreds of different types of canned fruit. Huge selection with incredible and hard to find vegetables and cuts of meat.

This is a great place to go to for Vietnamese/Thai/Filipino/Chinese  ingredients. It smells fishy because the fish they sell in the back of the store is out in the open, lying on ice, like in your typical Asian market. The produce is very fresh and they carry all the Vietnamese groceries you wouldn't find elsewhere, like lemon grass and Thai basil.

The extensive mock meat section far surpasses your Whole Foods wet dream. It's Taiwanese imports, but it the same stuff your eating at most Thai or Chinese vegetarian restaurants. Fat Lee Supermarket is one of the newest markets located right outside of Chinatown.The place has its own parking lot that isn't busy and chaotic, customer friendly, huge place to shop for almost all my Chinese grocery needs as well as groceriesitems to make Vietnamese food . They have a nice butcher area and a good selection of fresh fish.Their selection on vegetables is very nice, well stocked and frozen section has fair prices on frozen dumplings and boas. You'll find all your typical asian stuff here - fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and seafood from the butcher, large freezer section for your dumpling cravings, aisles of asian snacks, an assortment of ramen noodles,

The inventory is well-stocked and the aisles are neat. Excellent selection of Thai products:  Soy sauces, shrimp paste, pickled veg. Good produce selection, for Southeast and Far East Asian cuisines.  Nice selection of frozen seafood.  The aisles are sorted (somewhat) by region and culture. They also have a great selection of fresh produce. This store is pretty clean, neat, and user-friendly.  The people who work there are so nice and knowledgeable.

The prices are really outstanding, especially for the various sauces, noodles, vinegars and oils. If you are new to Asian cooking, look up some easy recipes to start with, bring a shopping list, and you will find everything you need. Overall a great selection of Chinese food and cooking supplies, an abundance of produce, and seafood so fresh it is still living. The soy sauce selection is abundant, there are dozens of interesting juices, and the frozen dumpling selection isn't too shabby either.

Inside they have multiple whole walls dedicated to rice and aisles dedicated to noodles. They have a really big selection of cookware too. The spices/sauces/condiments are aplenty and they have a very nice selection of produce and meat/fish. They even have a prepared food corner and herbal medicine corner. The only thing that may be a little lacking is their frozen section. The staff are nice too and it's not too messy inside like some other Asian markets.The meat section is questionable, but the fish area typically has a lot of fresh seafood.

At the front there's a bunch of fresh produce, and to the right are packaged foods. This is a very typical Chinese supermarket. This is part of a chain of other Great Wall Supermarketsalong the east coast and they carry a ton of things. This place is awesome. It's a supermarket but there's also a buffet style restaurant in the back. The fruit selection is located by the parking lot.  It is varied and pretty fresh.  Fresh vegetables are inside on big display tables.  There is a fresh seafood section with live fish, crabs, frogs (yup), and shrimp.  The meat section includes the area with the butchers as well as packaged items.

This is one of the best Asian supermarkets in all of NYC. They have high volume sales so everything is fresh. The cashiers are nice and fast. A lot of excellent selections on Asian vegetables, snacks, frozen foods, sauces, noodles, drinks, and a great butcher and fresh seafood section.  They sell Thai, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, products aside from Chinese for years. This little Thai grocery store offers so much more food and products than it looks from the outside. Inside you can find some local homemade Thai food that you don't usually find in Thai restaurants. The produce section is like a dream. It has the cheapest prices, feels the most authentic, has food samples on the weekends, has cheap to-go food stations, and has an awesome tea aisle. Located in Chinatown, but it carries various brands and unique items targeted towards the Asian community and still leaves room to showcase American products as well. This market is a bit on the smaller side, including selection.  They have freshly made dimsum on Saturday, which is totally a plus.
