It is a grocery store/cafe and the owners are very nice. Has all the normal mediterranean/middle eastern items that one would except along with some other basic grocery items. Great food, great price and really warm and friendly service. Perfect place for lunch.

This is a great little market. They get produce in every week, and fresh Halal meats in twice per week (Tues & Fri). Sultan Market is a great alternative to Baiz if you just need a few things or you're a little further East.

Great little middle eastern deli market! . The prices are very reasonable. The people are pleasant. In addition to the four tables for dining in, there is a fascinating array of groceries for sale. ). They have every middle eastern candy, canned good, kitchen accessory and obscure food item you can imagine. A fun place to browse.

It's a massive labyrinth of goods from Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and other countries that will overwhelm the senses in such a good way. South America? They've got you covered.  Caribbean? You know it. They carry grocery items for Mexican food, spices for African food, Indian groceries and hair care products, Mediterranean, Chinese, Middle Eastern and much more. Really great Beer selection. The seafood, meat, and poultry is well organized.

It's an ethnic market, so you're going to find a lot of ethnic specialties. There's lavash and sangak from at least five different local bakeries, several brands and flavors of yogurt, and lot's of various Persian sweets and pastries. You can get baklava, zaban, borek, halva, sohan, fruit tarts, etc. in plastic cartons (made fresh at local bakeries) or from the bakery counter.

This place had everything  as far as middle eastern spices. Halabi beber (Aleppo Pepper), dried mint (nane), sumac, lentil, cumin, and all at reasonable prices. Great variety of fresh spices at very good prices!  It is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall but well worth venturing in and poking around. It's got just about every spice you'd need.  It's also got frozen basturma and soujouk, pomegranate paste, an endless array of jams, jellies, and dried fruits, and a decent selection of Greek, Armenian, and Middle Eastern cheeses. 

Great place for everything Kosher. Great selection of Kosher foods not found in other markets and guys in butcher dept super helpful for those of us who have no clue about cooking meats. 

A compact supermarket that carries the essentials, plus some hard to find items. They have a nice selection of freshly cut meats and poultry, although some cuts are only available toward the end of the week. Also notable, is a fresh array of baked goods including bread, rolls, buns, pitas and pastries, from a few of the local bakeries, delivered daily.

Located in the heart of Little Armenia/Pasadena, this is a small, mom and pop Lebanese grocery that features imported foods, fresh meats, juices, and sundry spices and a few household goods that make this a fun ethnic experience. 

Excellent Kosher market, and they have a great prepared food section. Pico Glatt is a hodgepodge of tightly organized products and reasonably priced produce. The market is fine and good, cramped and difficult to navigate. The price of produce is so amazingly cheap - you wonder why everyone doesn't shop here. This is wonderful ethnic supermarket that carries a large selection of Middle Eastern grocery items. They sell a range of items from cookware to nuts, and Persian ice cream to sesame paste. The owner is very sweet and offered a large sampling of his ice cream and hot deli items. Excellent place for bargain grocery shopping, especially if you want to pick up lots of ethnic specialty items (Mexican, Eastern European, Asian, Kosher, Middle Eastern, etc.). This place is HUGE, VERY well stocked, immaculately clean and the deals you can find here are outstanding. Excellent Arab grocery store - they have all the goodies! Go on Sunday, when they make their excellent pita bread - better than bread I've had in the Middle East - but go early, because they sometimes run out! It is a good place to find Turkish products and some home food. They can cook in the store but they sell some bakery products like Baklava, Turkish bagel etc. This store has great selections of olives, jams, Turkish desserts, cheeses, and snacks. The store was clean, neat, and fully stocked. The pricing is reasonable and there is a good variety of brands to choose from.  There was an extensive dairy section complete with mint yogurt drinks and string cheese.

The store is very clean and the people work there are really polite and friendly. They have a pretty good collection of meats to cook and some specially for BBQ, in a good quality. It's a mix of a Middle Eastern market & liquor store. The selection, including some African products is pretty amazing and varied. They had all sorts of foods, spices and other selections.

Cool little food/  gourmet/ convenience store.   Imported foods that are hand selected by the owner, "Mo" -- who is so friendly and will let you taste the newest finds..... sometimes brownies and other sweets.... sometimes a new middle eastern dip that is unique to his store.... just lots of stuff. This is a great place for our shopping of items such as kashk, spices, dried lime, reshteh, rose water, some shirini, chayeh ahmad, cardomom, etc. 

The prepared foods - especially the fish - are superb, and their selection of poultry and meat is amazing. If you decide to keep kosher and you're looking for some high-end prepared food, this grocery store can beat hands-down most kosher restaurants.  Hard to find kosher items are readily available (Pas YIsroel tortilla wraps, gourmet cholov yisroel cheeses, and plenty more). Hatzlacha is in the heart of the Hasidic part of Williamsburg so everything they sell is kosher. Hatzlacha which means Luck in Hebrew is an entirely Kosher Supermarket serving an Orthodox Community. This place is amazing for a kosher person--from the selection to the small touches like popular Jewish CDs being sold-- but it's great for anyone else, too.

This small grocer has that cute family run vibe and has the old fashioned fair price for quality product feel.  There are a number of things that Carmel sells way below supermarket or other local stores that are worth coming back for over and over again. Find many Israeli goods here that other Kosher stores don't or won't carry. Is open Saturday (Shabbat). This is THE location for eastern European  goods. This place offers specialty items, specifically from Israel Russia too.

This kosher butcher has a ton of variety. All kinds of meat, chicken and a bunch of different Israeli products.  All kosher meats are also Halal.  For the Muslim neighbors of the northeast, this wonderful couple would love to make their top quality meats part of your next Eid celebration. There's the standard selection of kosher meat products, but also a lot of specialty things -- house made sausages and different kinds of burgers.

Penzey's is a great resource for spices, herbs, mixtures and flavorings, and it is near the top of the list of spice shops. They have tons of spices, neatly organized, next to large smelling pots of that spice. you can take a whiff, get a feel for what you may buy, and then choose accordingly. Also, their prices are reasonable. 

Greek food, Turkish food, and quite surprisingly, Israeli food! Great little shop with a lot if interesting foods. They carry overseas chocolate & cookies that are absolutely delicious and also provide the best and freshest fruit in the area.   

Homemade Goodies is a small, cute kosher bakery with a few vegan options . Kristin is the best baker and creates amazing vegan cupcakes, cookies and challah.

This Indian grocery store had the best selection and service in the University City area. This is the place to get Indian groceries in Philadelphia. They've got such a tremendous selection of legumes, condiments, chaat mixes, nuts and fruits, I find things here that I can find nowhere else in the city. If you adore Ethiopian injeeras, you can get a nice sack of them to keep you full for days. 

They have free interrnet (for customers). Lebanese fusion restaurant with an adjacent smoothie bar (Bliss) and a Lebanese style grocery that sells traditional spices, crepes and other foods.

Their products are Turkish and Greek dominant. Extensive selection of olive oils, herbs and unusual grains from all over the world. You will have fun investigating their unusual inventory. All your Middle Eastern, European ethnic foods under one roof for an amazingly honest price. Belden's is definitely more expensive than other grocery stores in the immediate area but they have items that you cannot find in other stores.   Belden's carries a large selection of Jewish/Kosher foodstuffs, and an awesome selection of wine and beer. Best kosher for Passover selection in Houston and honestly, the best kosher section in Houston too.  It is definitely a staple for any kosher household in the Meyerland area.  The store and staff is familiar and friendly. 

Al Barakah's is family-run; all the staff are always welcoming, and make sure you're very happy with their service. Great bread and takeaway.

Great  Mediterranean / Middle Eastern supermarket just off Camden High Street. Loads of imported foods from Cyprus to Palestine to Egypt and loads more. All the different grains and wheat etc you would ever need.  Lots of interesting tinned goods - salads and vegetables and traditional dishes. Not a massive selection and not the best quality but perfectly fine and not expensive.

Theyhave a large selection of vegetables and fruits outside (mostly bowls-full for £1) They also have a huge selection of spices, cans/jars full of interesting things, feta/ haloumi, baklava (although it is a little greasy) and a freezer stocked with wonders! It's also pretty cheap.

A great local delicatessen. This area is rife with Americans, Arabs and Jews and as such the food in Panzers caters for all of these cultures and beyond. You'll find a wide variety of fruit and veg fresh off of the vine. This is not your typical corner grocery store, as they have a large selection of American foods. You'll find lots of interesting foodstuffs for around half the price you'll find them at the nearest high street grocery store. If you're looking for spices, grains, pulses, nuts or flours of any type then Deepaks has more than likely got you covered.

Middle East Mini Market is a small shop selling all things Middle Eastern, as well as loads of universal good such as one would expect to find in a convenience store. ts worth popping in though because they do have a large selection of Asian foodstuffs that are unavailable elsewhere. If you're looking to cook some authentic curries, stews or kebabs, then pay this place a visit.

They really do have good prices for produce and the grocery items, many Turkish and Iranian, aren't expensive either. They have fresh herbs in the summer and amazing middle eastern fare (spices, bread, canned goods) inside. Plenty of sheep's cheese and amazing flat breads. Possibly the only place downtown where fresh produce can actually be considered "cheap" at times..

Hartmans Fine Kosher Foods is a well-established kosher butcher and prepared foods store with two locations, both unsurprisingly on Bathurst Street. Calling itself "the old-fashioned butcher shop with modern day sensibilities", the store is a long-standing tradition amongst many locals, which is truly saying something given the large number of similarly competing businesses within the vicinity. From kosher kebabs to Israeli chicken and kreplach, this place pretty much has it all and is a great place to visit to put together a kosher menu for your gatherings. Closed Saturdays.

Fabulous little store with Middle Eastern and Asian food. They have a wide variety of everything Asian - east, west, south.. They have a halal meat counter which was packed with people getting meat as well as a large variety of Indian spices and other goodies. Web site other locations.

Overall a very consistent and clean Persian grocer. A good choice for non-Persians who might have some questions or have a hard time browsing other super markets. Aside from the regular produce which you can find at most Persian stores (although it will probably be slightly fresher here), Khorak is very good for 3 things: Butcher, Baker and  Special seasonal fruits.

Toronto Kosher is another quality option to consider for fresh meat, with a spread that includes lamb, organic chicken, turkey, veal, and beef.
