Baiz not only carries spices, they also have fresh chicken and meat (halal) and they also have dairy products, freshly baked Arabic bread, Lebanese sweets, and grocery items typically found in a ME store. Not only that, they also cater to other international communities such as the subcontinent and some gulf and Persian items, all of which are very important for our international cuisines. Fruit and vegies are fresh. They have a butcher that will cut meat into pieces that you prefer.

This is not a "cute" and eclectic grocery store the trendy crowd will venture to. It's a very unassuming nuts and bolts Middle Eastern grocery store. The Mediterranean food here is the place to go. It s busy, yet not chaotic or loud. There is plenty of seating space and it is shared with their supermarket.

It's an ethnic market, so you're going to find a lot of ethnic specialties. There's lavash and sangak from at least five different local bakeries, several brands and flavors of yogurt, and lot's of various Persian sweets and pastries. You can get baklava, zaban, borek, halva, sohan, fruit tarts, etc. in plastic cartons (made fresh at local bakeries) or from the bakery counter.

This place had everything  as far as middle eastern spices. Halabi beber (Aleppo Pepper), dried mint (nane), sumac, lentil, cumin, and all at reasonable prices. Great variety of fresh spices at very good prices!  It is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall but well worth venturing in and poking around. It's got just about every spice you'd need.  It's also got frozen basturma and soujouk, pomegranate paste, an endless array of jams, jellies, and dried fruits, and a decent selection of Greek, Armenian, and Middle Eastern cheeses.

This is wonderful ethnic supermarket that carries a large selection of Middle Eastern grocery items. They sell a range of items from cookware to nuts, and Persian ice cream to sesame paste. The owner is very sweet and offered a large sampling of his ice cream and hot deli items.  It is a great Persian market... amazing fresh cut flowers, great cheese (both French and Bulgarian), fresh meat, cheese, Persian teas, and amazing fruit. In the winter time, no one has bigger pomegranates than this store...no one. Clean & fresh groceries, dairy products and a few but good deli items. If you're looking for somewhere to pick up Middle Eastern food items I have yet to come across a better place than Jordan Market.

The grocery store itself has all the middle eastern items you need. This supermarket is awesome! It has everything you need to make the perfect Middle Eastern meal. Nice sized parking lot so you don't have to pay for parking like the markets on Devon. It is a pretty big store and is well kept - very organized with directory signs in each aisle. An unassuming grocery with halal meats and low prices, with the bulk of shelf space filled with middle eastern staples.So much stuff in such a little space. Tons of spices (zatar, ras el hanout), canned, pickled things, fresh yogurts and lebna and kefir etc, and of course the meat case. The bread selection varies but what he has is generally very good.

Lots of veggies, cookies, sweets, various brands of labne (somewhere between yogurt and cream cheese) - all in all a wonderful Middle Eastern / Armenian grocery store. It's a family establishment with a very homely feel. They have an amazing selection of prepared food and desserts, the produce is always fresh and reasonably priced, and the owners are great.  The pickled vegetables are delish and fresh (try the cauliflower!) and the cheese selection has something for everyone. They also sell hookahs and imported candy bars, jams, dried fruit, and nuts among other things.

This Halal butcher shop and Middle Eastern grocery store with counter seating for a dozen customers, has a cult following for sandwiches made from thin pita bread  Toward the back is a full grocery with middle eastern specialties like foul , chickpeas , fava beans , olive bar and cheese. Plenty of pita bread to take away and nothing seemed overpriced.

This small grocer has that cute family run vibe and has the old fashioned fair price for quality product feel.  There are a number of things that Carmel sells way below supermarket or other local stores that are worth coming back for over and over again. Find many Israeli goods here that other Kosher stores don't or won't carry. Is open Saturday (Shabbat). This is THE location for eastern European  goods. This place offers specialty items, specifically from Israel Russia too.
