This is a quintessential Taiwanese comfort food joint. Cheap prices, large portions, and good taste. It's not Michelin-quality but it's simple and delicious -- great for either an introduction to Taiwanese food or if you're just missing the motherland. The workers are super fast and efficient.
Lankan food you can find in the area. Love their hospitality and personable service. The place is small, but everything is brand new, shiny and clean. This place is small, quaint, clean, and run by a welcoming couple!. The service is excellent and the owners couldn't be friendlier. The food is tasty and reasonably priced.
Try the popcorn chicken and really any boba drink - you won't be disappointed. The Honey Milk Tea is really something special as the Honey taste is out of this world amazing. You can adjust the level of sweetness of the drink in quarter increments which is amazing. TRUCK SCHEDULE MENU
Tucked away in St. Vincent Alley, this restaurant is a little sit down hole in the wall. Cute tables. Cute setting. All the kababs are excellent. The hummous is also great. Get the bulgar instead of rice, definitely worth it.. All the kababs are excellent. The hummous is also great. Get the bulgar instead of rice, definitely worth it. MENU
It's not a fancy restaurant. It's really a grocery store with one side dedicated to informal dining. They have good samosas, standard papadum, tasty pakoras, and a decent lunch menu selection of curries, tandoori, and Tali platters: both vegetarian and non veg. The food taste fresh and the staff is friendly. Inside is a grocery store, they carry spices, drinks, yogurts, rice, and lentils, etc. Bhanu's menu is fairly basic and most of the a-la-carte options represent Punjabi cuisine. MENU
Marouch is as authentic as it gets. High quality, delicious appetizers, and the dinner plates are huge. Great ambiance as well. This place won't disappoint. The food is delicious. The mezze selections in particular are great! Excellent service, lovely atmosphere.
The food is "lutong bahay" (home cooked). Such lovely, delicious and truly satiating food & people. Ambience and food is really Pinoy. Don't expect fine dining but experience real "turo-turo" style eating (literally pointing at the food you want to order).
Roc serves Americanized(ish) Taiwanese style food that's decently priced and severely delicious. The xiao long baos are very, very good--and you can get them with dungeness crab inside! This place is always crowded and only has a tiny little sign to announce it is ROC so it's a challenge to find. But find it you should because the dumplings are amazing! The broth inside the xiao long bao is amazing as well as the pork, juicy and tender.
This is a Tajikistan restaurant which is rarely you can find in New York. Everything is from fresh and from scratch. Pilov is out of this world ! which is made of vegetable rice and marinated red meat. If you are vegetarian you can hold the meat. Food: Delicious and fresh. Liver, chicken and lamb kebobs are cooked to perfection, properly seasoned, juicy and flavorful.
Service is fabulous, food came out quick and very warm, served in a little metal tin with a flame underneath to keep it nice and hot!. Their food is delicious and the people there are very kind. If you like Indian food, this is definitely a place you want to check out. The food is very inexpensive for the quality, presentation and service! MENU
Great authentic food in Thai Town/Little Armenia. Very vegetarian friendly. I recommend the muharra as an apetizer- it's amazing. Food is really really tasty and the portions are big for the prices. The staff is really cool and the no-frills ambience is charming. The salad is by far the best salad there is and definitely recommend the chicken kabobs!
This place is unbelievable! It is true 'pinoy' home cooking. The menu had a good mix of Filipino comfort food (like the stuff you'd eat on a week night) and party food. Best halo halo. The restaurant's decor makes you feel like you are in the Philippines.
MJ Cafe (whether an Express or not) is a great place for boba and Taiwanese snacks. Considering how busy this location gets, the service is super fast. The staff are usually really nice and helpful if you need help with the huge menu. Also, If you check in with Yelp before you order, you get a 10% discount. MENU
This is a small store but it is highly specialized with Russian and Uzbekistan foods. There is a small smoked fish counter, a much larger cheese and smoked meats area... lots of frozen dumplings. .. and the rest of the store is filled with produce and imported canned goods. In the back is a small room with a kitchen... serving up fresh baked breads, Russian salad bar... and a hot food steam table.
