This is the only gluten free specific cafe in the Jewellery Quarter. Its a perfectly nice place to sit and grab a drink and food, maybe a little odd, but the giftware gives you something to look at whilst you wait for your food to be freshly made. As well as offering the usual range of wraps, sandwiches, coffees, smoothies etc sell gluten free cakes.
This venue offers a really wide selection of hot and cold drinks to choose from. Hot drinks and Iced coffee is available, as well as a large selection of Chai and the currently trendy Matcha style tea drink. The drinks here are wonderfully presented. The majority of the crockery is branded with Centenary lounge's retro logo. They serve good hot drinks as well as a bistro-style menu of hot and cold food. Christopher's is an American-style restaurant that is popular with meat lovers due to its choice of grills. It has a buzzing atmosphere and is great fun for everyone if your by yourself ,with friends, or if you feel like a nice day / night out with the family!. This is a fairly swanky bar with a fantastic cocktail menu. Awesome vibe-casual, buzzing. Amazing tunes, extensive menu and drink list. Worth being prepared to queue. Place has wow factor straight away. The whole experience is fun from the hidden red fridge door that leads to a secret bar downstairs to the pinned photos of customers at the entry to the funky tables ! This café dedicated to unusual bowls of cereal. Sure, there are healthy options, but the real fun's in its massive range of wacky neon-coloured foreign cereals and selection of toppings that includes peanut butter chips and freeze-dried marshmallows. Be warned, though, you may want to visit on a weekdays as queues can stretch round the corner on weekends. MENU
Unlimited peanut butter on toast. That's probably the most important thing about this hang-out space for artsy types (it calls itself 'a treehouse for grown-ups', rather than a café). Instead of paying for what you eat or drink, you're charged 5p a minute to be there, thus making you a 'micro tenant' who's free to use the facilities as you wish. There's a full kitchen with espresso machine, teas and other sweet snacks (did we mention the peanut butter and toast?), plus a selection of records to play and books to read. The fun, creative crowd it attracts make it a bit like hiring an Airbnb property that comes with its own supercool live-in buddies
At this drop-in icing café, you buy one of the seasonal range of biscuits (say, flowers and hearts for springtime), the waiter or waitress quickly explains the basics of icing and then you're free to use the colourful range of sugary decorations to beautify your biscuit. Be warned, though: to leave you'll have to walk past the phenomenal range of chocolates, cakes and sweet treats upstairs in the beautiful neo-Parisian boutique. Good luck resisting buying the whole shop up.
They serve their teas and tea food in a wide range of teaware from antiques to contemporary styles. The drinking and eating experience is complemented by a large collection of music which can range from 1930s swing to contemporary jazz. Camellia's Tea House is not only a tea room, but also a retail shop where you can purchase over 100 different blends of tea (many of which are blended on site) which are displayed in glass jars and caddies. Before you choose a tea, they recommend that you open a few jars and caddies and breathe in the beautiful aromas you will encounter…one tea will always call out to you !
Situated in the heart of Chorlton's 'trendy and bohemian' Beech Road, this is a very good example of cafe bar done very well. Beautiful restaurant with a modern vibe and friendly staff. At its best, the Lead Station is a perfect example of a cafe bar done well. Situated in a former police station, it serves delicious, simple and relatively inexpensive food, has a good range of beer of tap, a great selection of wine, and best of all, its situated right in the middle of Beech Road.
