Taste some of their regional dishes as well as a selection of more traditional food.
This is certainly a family run establishment where the more authentic dishes come out to be exactly that, good and authentic. The food, atmosphere, and the service are very good. Delicious great quality food, hands down one of the best Persian restaurants in Chicago!
t's a convenient location in the city for a Korean fix. They have a large amount of Korean groceries here considering the fact that there don't seem to be very many Koreans living in this area. There's a private parking lot and it's off the Kennedy Expressway. It's a small market, but they supply 90% of what a Korean would need. The other big bonus is that they have a small kitchen in the back that serves up great korean food for a low price.
This place makes amazingly tasty food. Everything is handmade and the owners were super nice. The food tastes like your at an ethnic friends home. They are super clean and everything was fresh and looked great. It seems that most of the people who come in were Armenian nationals which was definitely reassuring.
. Awesome food, great prices, and beautiful wait staff. They have a TON of pastries to choose from, most of which have some Austrian and German influence. Good breakfast menu, bakery and coffee. It is small and popular for brunch on the weekends, so come early because you may have to wait to sit down. When it is warm out they have a nice patio which provides them with a few extra tables.
There are so many things about this place. From the grocery shopping, to the beer & brauts on the rooftop...this place is a Chicago gem. Given the wait for food on the rooftop, this isn't a secret gem. It's a well known summer spot for some craft beer and a few sausage options. Eating on the roof in the summer, is certainly one of the best ways to spend a summer afternoon.
This is a great place for a brazilian home cooked meal. It is not a full restaurant, it is a mix of a brazilian grocery store and restaurant. Small grocery store with a wall full of shelves, full of product. That's all good. But where Brasil Legal Cafe shines is with the food. There is a short menu. Expect some "real" Brazilian food prepared in a kitchen where you can see the cooks. The Sunday treat is the traditional Brazilian sausage and black bean stew.
As a place to stop in for a paper cuppa when you're out and about, Gaslight does not disappoint in the slightest. Their pastries are better than most in the neighborhood. And their coffee and Chai making skills are better too. It's in a very cool space with a ton of room and a huge open floor plan with lots of seats, including a counter that acts as a bar.
If you're looking for a DELICIOUS, traditional cup - this is the place to go. The interior has a minimalist and hipster vibe. There are toboggans on the wall and the speakers are made of suitcases and chests. The different types of coffee for purchase are arranged in a re-purposed canoe. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This roaster/cafe definitely doesn't have the snobby feel that is common with many establishments. The bottm line -great coffee!
Great selection of Estate and house blends to suit all tastes.Great coffee, super chill atmosphere, sunny windows and friendly baristas are up for a chat! A must try! Hands down one of the best places to get high quality in-house freshly roasted coffee in this city in a no frills environment. A go-to for cortado's
Metropolis never ceases to please or amaze. The coffee, teas and espresso are layered with complex flavors that are paradoxical as they are bold as they are light. The place is always busy, it really doesn't matter what day or time you come. But since it occupies multiple storefronts, the seating is surprisingly large and I rarely have had trouble finding a place to sit, with the exception of Sunday afternoons.
This place is great. Obviously the fun decor lends itself to a perky atmosphere, and the coffee is delicious. Apparently this is THE hipster coffee bar to be at on rainy weekends. Line to the door and line of cups awaiting caffeine on the counter. Two baristas worked like a symphony to create and expedite drinks to the awaiting customers. The lattes and pastries are tasty, and some are even vegan-friendly.
They import and roast their own beans in house! Their sandwiches are made to order and are loaded with fresh ingredients that we always ensure are of the highest quality! They have a plurality of brew methods, beans to buy, and brewing equipment. The staff is helpful and the door is cozy. The coffee is so smooth and delicious and the staff super sweet!
Absolutely delicious mixtures and state of the art machines that perfectly curate the most amazing cup of joe. This place will serve a fantastic (amazing! Delicious! Reasonably priced!) cup of French press coffee, has a lovely atmosphere and a small selection of pastries to chooses from. The baristas know what they are doing here.
