Hamel Family Ranch’s 30-acre vineyard is situated at the toe of the Mayacamas Mountains on the eastern side of Sonoma Valley. Rooted in the rich, volcanic soils (consisting of Red Hill, Gould, and Tuscan Cobbly clay loam), the 15-year-old vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Grenache, and Petite Sirah.

This is a very accessible, fun, and affordable tasting experience for those who are just getting into wine! They have a corner storefront tasting room in the downtown Sonoma square. The ladies who work here are super fun and friendly.The wines are very good and reasonably priced - from $10 to $40 for members, a bit more for non-members. Oh, and tasting is FREE. Non-members can taste 5, members have a free-for-all

Nicholson Ranch enjoys a combination of soils, sloping hills and climate that is ideal for producing premium grapes for their handcrafted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah. Their grapes are grown natually and sustainably. All wines are made from grapes grown on their 40 acre Estate, fermented in small batches and aged for as long as three years in French oak barrels.
