Whitewater Hill has an impressive range of wines to taste, everything from dry Rieslings and oak-aged Cabernets to late harvest Chardonnay and ice wine, with lots of hidden gems in-between (their Viognier, for instance).

Estate-grown, small production wines really show the potential of the Orchard Mesa area - a Colorado River benchland rich in minerals east of Grand Junction - for growing high quality wine grapes. There's lots of cool wine gifty things like tea towels, coasters, aprons, magnets etc. Then some foodie things...

Planted in 1991, Canyon Wind Cellars is a family-owned, estate winery named for the mountain breezes and canyon winds that nurture the fruit on our high altitude vineyard. We take pride in each and every one of our wines.

This place is great, the winemakers are very welcoming and their dog is adorable. To top it off, all of the wines are amazing! The views and scenery are very enjoyable. The setting is beautiful, with stunning views and an enormous mulberry tree that makes perfect shade for a wine-and-cheese picnic. They offer tours as time permits. The wines were...

They are Colorado’s original meadery. Their wines are crisp, refreshing, and “buzzing” with flavor. They use only 100% pure, raw orange blossom honey in all of our wines. For their fruit blends, they use as much local produce as possible.

Talon, St. Kathryn's and the Meadery all the same vineyards. The Meadery actually is in a separate tasting room than Talon/St.Kathryn. Their tasting room is actually near the vineyards and where they make all the wine (for all 3). It is a big building with a large tasting area and gift shop. a fun spot to...

At St. Kathryn Cellars, flavors come alive to intrigue the imagination and delight the palate. Their sweeter-edged, highly flavorful wines can be enjoyed chilled, on-ice, anytime and for any occasion. They claim to  make wines to inspire and delight!

They have a VERY large variety from three different vineyards - Confre, St Kathryn, and Talon, including many fruit wines. The facility feels very commercial...like they are trying too hard to market all of their gimmicky products. Most of the tasting menu consists of fermented fruit juice like pear, peach, etc. type...

They hand tender their wines from plow to palate. Great care and attention goes into every grape, every cluster, every drop, every bottle, every glass.

Laid-back winery! Full wine menu sampling is complimentary, and the sample pours are large enough to give you a few sips and really taste the wine (and be sure to read the descriptions on the flight menu - someone at Red Fox has a gift for descriptive writing!). The staff are very welcoming and friendly - you really feel like you're amongst friends there.

Garfield Estates is a very nice boutique winery with the tasting room uniquely located upstairs, allowing you to walk past the wine barrels and bottling machine, setting your expectations for a fine wine tasting exper. The tasting room loft is well decorated and despite the smaller bar, they have plenty of room to enjoy multiple flights and tastings. All of which were well selected by theme for whatever your palate is into. You also get free glasses when you buy a second flight. For six dollars for five smaller portioned wines and the free glass that isn't a bad deal,...

Carlson Vineyards,is a small farm winery, producing premium wines in the heart of Colorado wine country above the town of Palisade.

It has a very laid back vibe and those running the tastings are the people who make the wine and know all there is to know about it. It was nice to hear how it is made and where the fruit comes from (all local - like right around them!). Their wines reflect the fruits grown in the area. Unpretentious tasting area and friendly staff! This vineyard should be on your list of places to visit! Cute little...

Colorado Cellars is a family owned and operated winery, so winemaking there is truly a way of life. They grow their own grapes and fruit, keep bees for honey wine, personally make and bottle our wines – even deliver it themselves. Colorado Cellars Winery is Colorado’s oldest, largest and most award-winning winery.

Colorado Cellars makes a wide array of fruit wines (hello pomegranate!), wine foods, desserts, oils, and of course the more typical wines. They definitely have a good tasting room, with more than just wine to taste (although they have a...

At AVANT Vineyards, the principal winemaking philosophy is to keep the process as basic and natural as possible, letting the character of the fruit come through. They make their wine in hand crafted small batches from their own grapes. They are grown along the mighty Colorado River at the base of the Grand Mesa on Colorado’s western slope, where the cool night-breezes coming off the mountains meets the hot sunny days of this high mountain environment. All this makes their select fine wines ridiculously delicious.

Charming, beautiful, serene, and good wine. The...
