Jones Winery and Vineyard is one of the oldest and smallest wineries in Victoria with its establishment dating back to 1860. The winery has 10 hectares under vine, some of which were planted in 1905. Although the current owners, siblings Mandy and Arthur, have an innovative and fresh take on winemaking, the duo still pay tribute to traditional practices and their rich family history. They grow the grapes and hand-make the wine to create beautifully structured wines with a very strong sense of place - they possess the character of Rutherglen, created in the Jones elegant style with the personality of the vintage.
Adjoining the cellar door area their café serves food themed on those wonderful, simple dishes found in french cafés. Depending on the season we serve dishes such as french onion soup, boeuf bourgignon, croque monsieur and goat’s cheese salad. The café offers you the chance to relax and enjoy tasting our wines accompanied by a light lunch or a tasting platter.
A unique Rutherglen experience... Jones Winery & Vineyard cellar door offers visitors 'real and genuine' experiences in wine and service.
