Piromit Wines is a relatively new boutique winery situated in Hanwood, NSW. The 1000-tonne capacity winery was built for the 1999 vintage on a 14-acre site which was until recently used as a drive-in. Previous to this, wines were made on our 100-acre vineyard. The winery site is being developed into an innovative tourist attraction complete with an Italian restaurant and landscaped formal gardens. The Houlaghans Valley Vineyard is situated on a gravel ridge in the Junee area overlooking the creek and valley that commemorates the early explorer-surveyor who assisted in mapping out the Queensland to Melbourne cattle route and the rich gold discoveries at Junee Reefs, Sebastapol and Temora. Established at Leeton, in southern New South Wales, in 1972 by the Fiumara family. The first production for the winery was 1982. Lillypilly came to prominence in 1983 when the inaugural vintage of Tramillon, a unique blend of Semillon and Traminer, won the State Bank Award for the Best NSW White Wine at the Royal Sydney Wine Show. The region is well known for its botrytis wines, producing some world class wines like Lillypilly Noble Blend.
