The Peter Lehmann winery today is one of the Barossa’s most sophisticated medium-size wine making operations. Their wine selection brings out the best of the enormous diversity of the Barossa and its 14 individual sub-regions.The 140-plus growers represent every region, from the valley floor to the elevated sites of Eden Valley and beyond. The winemakers spend countless hours in the vineyards before vintage with the growers, monitoring fruit and managing crops with particular wine styles in mind. Every Peter Lehmann wine is truly a wine made in the vineyard. The winery is designed to accommodate individual batches for blending, creating wines of great dimension that are the best they can be across all tiers.
The heart of Cellar Door is the old stone winery building dating back to the 1880s. The building has been extensively renovated and extended, with old and new blended seamlessly by stonework, creating a modern hospitality centre within a living history of Barossa winemaking.
