It's a classic family run establishment run since the early 1960's. Friendly welcoming service and warm vibe with quality patrons. They serve good ol' fashioned, tasty fish & Chips among a variety of other things. Think wings, fried stuff, sandwiches and traditional Irish dishes like Shepherd's Pie and Bangers and Mash.
La Cocina Boricua is an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant hidden away by the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. The ambiance, the food, the drinks, and the service are never a letdown. Great place if you are looking for a quick bite and to go. Small place with capacity of about 20 seats. You have the option to order ahead of time and pickup as well. Good place for pho amd banh mi sandwich. Pho is great here. Bun is pretty good. Banh mi is so good (including the duck banh mi). Spring and summer rolls are awesome. Overall the place is a well oiled machine.Quick and friendly service and uber cheap! MENU
The limited menu selection allows Bunker to consistently put out great food with fresh ingredients and bursts of flavors. Even the coffee tastes amazing! The seating might also be limited but the friendly and attentive staff makes it worth the wait. The food is delicious. Smaller portions then you'd normally get elsewhere, but that means you get to order more and share family style!
This is an awesome little family-owned spot with awesome food. There is little ambiance (read: none) but the food is great and amazingly affordable. The menu has a breakfast menu and then is separated by chicken, lamb, fish, and cultural (vegetarian) - most of which come with soup, salad, and the option of bread or rice. This restaurant in particular is definitely a hole in the wall. It's not dirty, but it feels a little grungy.
Five stars don't come easily. Yemen Cafe earned them. Fantastic food, solid (if a little slow) service, and worth a trip back. The amount of food they give you is INSANE. The lamb is so tender and literally will fall of the bones. The broth is gamey but worth it. It's light but packed with flavor. You will want to dip the bread is everything. It's nothing fancy but you will feel like you are at home. Comfortable and delicious. MENU
A great lunch place that has excellent cuban sandwhiches! They also serve up combination plates of a variety of Cuban food. Quick, cheerful service and bang-for-your-buck prices. Try the combo: moro rice, sweet plantains, and baked chicken. Great Cuban food & huge platters! Saturday & Sunday Closed.

Arth Aljanatain is an amazing Yemeni restaurant in the Bronx. Delicious chicken, moist lamb. Soup that is mysteriously addictive... fresh bread, so much food you won't leave hungry. The people that work there are very friendly and the tea and the food, so nice.
The place is great, has a nice warm atmosphere. Always attentive the service here is amazing. As an added bonus. The food is actually really great, which is nice when you want to swing in for dinner before or after happy hour. This is a really good option if you want a place that's nice, yet laid back, has space, but can also give you the crowded bar feel, has good prices, isn't too loud or crazy, and some really good food. MENU
