Lucha Libre (a term for a freestyle Mexican wrestler who wears a mask) is a casual Mexican restaurant which is focusing on small plates - you can get a taco tray which gives you 3 each of 4 different types so is a good sharing starter. It is definitely worth a visit as the food is good and the service is fine They advised on gluten free choices. Dietary needs definitely didn't impact on the service or make you feel like an annoyance at all. MENU
Salvi's is a deli, mozarella snack bar, coffee house, restaurant and God knows what else. It's chilled yet exciting to be in, the owner and staff hands on and welcoming and the setting makes you feel like you've gone on holiday in itself. A great selection of deli meats and cakes. Great food quality and they do gluten free pasta! Nice italian drinks and good service! VISIT SITE
This is one of the best restaurants in the greater Manchester area, or rather in the entire Northern UK. Always excellent. The food is fantastic, perfectly judged. The dining room is small and perhaps somewhat cramped, but given it's essentially the size of a residential dining room, it's hardly surprising, and it's part of the place's charm. Price wise you will not find any better value. Special diet requirements catered for. MENU
The place is great if you get a booth table, quality is outstanding and gluten and dairy free friendly! The menu affords lots of pictures and a description of what is what and the staff are always happy to explain. . There is a great variety of sushi on the belt and there were even hot rice and noodle dishes. MENU
The food here is fresh and big. Its well worth a try. When you order a coffee you get a Tunnocks teacake or caramel wafer. Laid back vibe, art on the walls, lots of different sections to sit in. Popular with staff and international students of the University. it's a fab place that doubles as a cafe-bar in the daytime and bustling bar at night. Independently owned and run. MENU
Italian restaurant with a twist, there's a huge range of pizzas available. The thing that really sets them apart is that they offer gluten free pizzas for coeliacs and dairy free. Dough offers a variety of different pizza bases (gluten free, regular, wholewheat) and some unusual toppings (Asian chicken). MENU
Cute, relaxed little café in a convenient Northern Quarter location. An all night cafe, supporting local art and music, board games to play, really good food. There is a lovely menu made up of homemade sandwiches and broths. Be impressed with the food selection; catering for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and for the good old carnivore, they provide a great lunch menu filled with all kinds of buttys, salads and comfort foods. Grreat coffe and tea.
Côte isn't the cheapest place to grab breakfast in Manchester but it's probably one of the nicest. Cote is a small chain but still is a typical French brasserie fare, both in atmosphere and presentation, which is casual. The food is very good and knowing that the kitchen and servers had knowledge of and experience with gluten free requirements. MENU
Top end Italian grub. Probably the best way to describe this beast of Italian cuisine. Fresh ingredients, minimal fuss and big flavours . The staff are courteous quick. Menu is good well presented italian with a decent list of specials above the open kitchen. Staff are friendly,. Christmas Menu Regular Menus
Earth is a quiet and spacious veggie cafe where you can grab a hot drink or plate of kale and hearty food. They have different specials each day ranging from chillis and curries to jacket potatoes and quiches Overall the cafe is a great place for lunch, tea, catching up with friends and just generally brining balance back to your diet and life. They buy organic and Fair Trade goods where possible. MENU
They have a G next to dishes on the menu for gluten containing! Happy curry time for gluten freepeople! The food here is exceptional. It's head and shoulders above any other Indian in Manchester and the prices are really good too. The food is fresh and you gotta love the massive nan breads! MENU
Situated in the heart of Chorlton's 'trendy and bohemian' Beech Road, this is a very good example of cafe bar done very well. Beautiful restaurant with a modern vibe and friendly staff. At its best, the Lead Station is a perfect example of a cafe bar done well. Situated in a former police station, it serves delicious, simple and relatively inexpensive food, has a good range of beer of tap, a great selection of wine, and best of all, its situated right in the middle of Beech Road. MENU
The hot chocolate is to die for here. Get the salted caramel hot chocolate, its lovely. The chocolates are good and the flour-less is rich and heavy. The chocolate is so intense you get quite a buzz from it, a very nice pick me up if your planning a night on the town and don't fancy coffee. The lady who runs the shop is cool and friendly.
All their curries are gluten free. The Spicy Hut is by far one of the best places to visit on the Curry Mile. The food is very good, with the flambe sizzler dishes being a speciality. It's one of the places you can take your friends to and end up being hailed as the genius of the curry mile, who knows all the best places like a local.
Absolutely fabulous! Every visit is always a great experience: staff, food, drinks, service. Gluten free menu available. The service, quality of food and atmosphere is consistently great. When is a chain restaurant not a chain restaurant? When it's Piccolino's or in other words: when it doesn't feel like one. If you like your Italian food in a great, noisy atmosphere then you could do much worse than come to their city centre branch. MENU
