For the meatballs
300 gr. minced beef
150 gr. of bread crumbs
3 egg yolks
1 handful of pine nuts
salt to taste
chopped parsley (optional)

Making the meatballs
Put the bread in a bowl,soak in water for 10 minutes. Then squeeze it and add it to the meat. Knead with hands.
Add the 3 egg yolks, pine nuts, salt and parsley. Mix all the ingredients well and roll into balls with a circumference of 3 cm.
Making the sauce
Chop carrot and onion and place in a saucepan with 1 tablespoon oil. Add1 tablespoon of water and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
Add the tomato puree, salt and basil and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Bringing it all together
Add the meatballs one at a time and cook for about an hour.
And at this point the meatballs are ready .
Serve with pasta of choice (optional)
