All around good place to shop, especially if you're looking for European food items. This place has tons of stuff. Older looking. Lots of ethnic Russian food products. The produce is great, good selection and low prices. They also have a very good selection of polish products
A Great Selection of German products. Their potato pancakes are great & the cucumber salad is the best! it has fresh dill and isn't sugary sweet They have a very large selection of German candy. and the biggest selection of Ritter chocolate. The display case is chock full of wonderful meaty and cheesey items to satisfy your craving for a taste Germany.
Very attractive German deli choc-a-bloc with all things from the Fatherland (except alcohol--naturally.). Their german imports are as good as it gets in Philly. Rieker's seemingly is the only game around for German meat specialties.
Penzey's is a great resource for spices, herbs, mixtures and flavorings, and it is near the top of the list of spice shops. They have tons of spices, neatly organized, next to large smelling pots of that spice. you can take a whiff, get a feel for what you may buy, and then choose accordingly. Also, their prices are reasonable.
Excellent artisanal chocolate flown in weekly from Switzerland. This place is VERY expensive, but the chocolate is good. For top-quality chocolates, Teuscher is a safe bet for corporate or special occasion gift giving. The flower boxes are beautiful - but very pricey.
