This spot is a old staple in Koreatown. All the mainstream Korean items are for sale here (Kalbi, knick knacks etc etc and of course kimchi) The prices are decent. Web site for other locations
This little japanese grocery is nice to have in downtown Toronto, the inventory is not huge, but it has all the basics for japanese cooking like sushi rice, vinegar, ingredients to make dashi, or premade dashi, etc. They also have a variety of japanese snacks. Web site.
An unpretentious french cafe settled in the middle of St. Clair West. The venue is small and seats maybe 15 at most. With fresh baguettes, pastries and great coffee, this will bring back memories of France for anyone.
Definitely a pricey one-stop shop for convenient specialty foods and quick take-away meals. The store is small-ish but they pack everything in. Anything gourmet you can find. Everything here is beautiful and fresh... any budding gourmet would be happy to spend the rest of their lives patrolling the cheese aisle or scouring the deli to see what delights they've cooked up for the day. Authentic Russian food heaven. If you have never been exposed to Eastern European culture I would recommend this store as you can experience something different and if you come from Easter Europe, then Yummy market is the place to be. It has a "welcome home" feel to it.Web site.
