There's lavash and sangak from at least five different local bakeries, several brands and flavors of yogurt, and lot's of various Persian sweets and pastries. It's a small store stocked with spices, grains, coffee, prepared food, dried fruit and more. But the icing on the cake of this experience was the customer service.  The family and staff that run MEB are just lovely.  Great candies, dried fruit, nuts and jordan almonds. There are also aisles of dried beans, a million spices and herbs, and jars of tahini, honey, yogurt, hot pepper paste, rose water and more. This little "hole in the wall" store is located in the basement level but is a haven for incredible meat, fish and Middle Eastern foods.Very cheap fish and shrimp. They also sell chicken and beef but at pretty much the same price as whole foods. If you're a fan of Moroccan or Turkish food, this is a great place for you.

A great place to grab a quick bite of authentic middle eastern food. Adeeb makes all his meals from scratch and the food is delicious, not to mention cheap! A falafel plate costs $4. It's more of a take out joint than sit down - not the quickest service but well worth the wait. There is also a little middle eastern market attached with all sort of odds and ends. Some mixed reviews. Summary ultra cheap, good tasting, dirty needs to be cleaned up, really friendly service, located by parcel 7 garage so if you don't work here just park and validate nearby.

It is a good place to find Turkish products and some home food. They can cook in the store but they sell some bakery products like Baklava, Turkish bagel etc. This store has great selections of olives, jams, Turkish desserts, cheeses, and snacks. The store was clean, neat, and fully stocked. The pricing is reasonable and there is a good variety of brands to choose from.  There was an extensive dairy section complete with mint yogurt drinks and string cheese.

It's a mix of a Middle Eastern market & liquor store. The selection, including some African products is pretty amazing and varied. They had all sorts of foods, spices and other selections.

Cool little food/  gourmet/ convenience store.   Imported foods that are hand selected by the owner, "Mo" -- who is so friendly and will let you taste the newest finds..... sometimes brownies and other sweets.... sometimes a new middle eastern dip that is unique to his store.... just lots of stuff. Lots of veggies, cookies, sweets, various brands of labne (somewhere between yogurt and cream cheese) - all in all a wonderful Middle Eastern / Armenian grocery store. It's a family establishment with a very homely feel. This Indian grocery store had the best selection and service in the University City area. This is the place to get Indian groceries in Philadelphia. They've got such a tremendous selection of legumes, condiments, chaat mixes, nuts and fruits, I find things here that I can find nowhere else in the city. If you adore Ethiopian injeeras, you can get a nice sack of them to keep you full for days.

Great store especially if you're looking for Caribbean products. It seems generally aimed at a Hispanic population with its vast array of Latin American food, but it also knows it's near some pretty yuppie/hippie neighborhoods, and carries things like soy yogurt and organic granola and a pretty good selection of vegetarian options. They also have some ethnic products from Mexico, Indian, and Middle Eastern that are harder to find elsewhere.

Great selection on middle eastern grocery items. You can get all kinds of Middle Eastern things such as shisha tobacco, chai, rice, halal meats, bread and pretty much anything else you'd want for groceries. The food is organized by country of origin - Russia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Armenia, Israel, Portugal, etc. This store is amazing, don't let its small size fool you.  It carries an eclectic mix of foodstuffs from the former USSR as well as a wide array of Israeli brand products. They also have a wide array of wines and beers from not only Russia, but from eastern europe as well..  In addition, you can find imported spices, teas, coffees, smoked fish, breads, sausages, cheeses and frozen foods.

This supermarket is a nice place to shop for Asian foods, Middle Eastern and other products. They are also small food and drink places located inside so you can grocery shop and then grab a bite on your way out. They have fresh exotic fruits, fresh and frozen fish, goat, rabbit, duck, duck TONGUES, every kind of rice, noodle, sauce, candy, and a million other things that are so hard to find in many US cities.

Belden's is definitely more expensive than other grocery stores in the immediate area but they have items that you cannot find in other stores.   Belden's carries a large selection of Jewish/Kosher foodstuffs, and an awesome selection of wine and beer. Best kosher for Passover selection in Houston and honestly, the best kosher section in Houston too.  It is definitely a staple for any kosher household in the Meyerland area.  The store and staff is familiar and friendly.

The  International food is quite extense: Chorizo Espanol, Yerba Mate from Argentina, sweet potato preserve from Argentina, chimichurri sauce, cheese bread from Colombia, Dulce de Leche from Chile (yay), Harina Pan from Venezuela (to make arepas, which are corn meal patties and not to be confused with MAZA from Mexico),chocolates, cookies and coffee from Brazil. The Brits have it easy here as well.
