A great Indian grocery store favourable amongst most of the local community because of its decent prices, helpful staff and clean and fresh produce. It's almost a mini supermarket as they have a fresh meat counter where meat is cut to order, the meat counter has a whole variety of different meats and now even do fish.

Deepak may not have the best array of fruit and veg – but for dried goods and spices, it has no peers. There are more pulses to be taken here than in the whole of the adjacent St George’s Hospital – Malawi toor dahl, urad dahl, channa dahl, and every staple you’ll need to cook Indian food. The range of spices covers everything South Asian and beyond – if Deepak doesn’t have it, and for a very good price, you probably can’t get it.

Khawaja Brothers Mini Market is a cut above your average Indo-Pakistani grocers, Whether you're concocting a katsu curry or just seeking out some seasonal salad, you can do no wrong by making a beeline for this little place because it's fresh, it changes with the seasons, it has more ethnic ingredients than you can possibly pile into your plastic bag, and perhaps given the first three the most appealing factor... it's almost obscenely inexpensive.
